The National Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association (NACTOMORAS), FCT chapter, has called for more government support to boost the transport system in the territory.

Mr Musa Ibrahim, the FCT Chairman of the association in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, said its members play significant roles in urban and rural transportation.

He said the support of the FCT administration would enable its task force to collaborate with the various government agencies to maintain sanity on the road.

“One of the major challenges we are having is the FCT administration’s inability to build us into their transportation plan.

Khafi Evicted From BBNaija, Joins Gedoni

Khafi Kareem has been evicted from the ongoing Big Brother Naija season four.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the UK Metro police officer was evicted during the live show on Sunday.
Khafi, who was put up in a strong competition with Tacha, Mike and Seyi, got on stage in her usual, bubbly demeanour.


When the nomination reel was played for her, she told host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that she was surprised Ike nominated her seeing as they both bonded in the house.

Police Confirm 3 Killed In Akwa Ibom Cult Clash

The Akwa Ibom Police Command has confirmed that three persons were killed in a cult clash between Axe and Vikings confraternities in Onna Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Odiko Mac-Don, disclosed this while speaking with on Sunday in Uyo.
Mac-Don, who said that aside the three persons who were killed, added that some others sustained varying degrees of injuries in the clash.
He, however, said that nobody had been arrested.

Kogi Election: Minister Says Unity, Peaceful Coexistence Not Negotiable

The FCT Minister of State, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has urged political actors in Kogi to eschew violence as the unity and peaceful coexistence of the state are not negotiable.

The Minister made the call when a delegation of Kogi Political Triangle, led by Adamu Shuiabu, paid her a visit in her office.
The Special Assistant on Media to the Minister, Mr Austine Elemue, in a statement on Sunday, noted that the minister used the visit to call for a united force in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

Algeria Sets Dec. 12 For Presidential Vote

Algeria’s Interim President, Abdelkader Bensalah, has set Dec. 12 as the date for the country’s delayed presidential polls in an attempt to end a months-long political standoff.

Bensalah said in a televised address that the election was an “urgent” step for the country that has seen anti-government street protests since February.

In April, long-time President Abdelaziz Bouteflika was forced to resign under pressure from the protests and the influential military.
Protests have since continued, demanding an overhaul of the political system and the departure of Bouteflika-era officials, including Bensalah.
