I used to have a friend who had a child out of wedlock and she's always painting the child's face with makeup.. a girl of 10 years. I noticed the makeup stuff when the girl was 5 or 6 years and it continued for years before I summoned courage to advice her to stop it. My opening my mouth to say it ended our 6 years friendship coz she insulted me and blocked me on social media. I didn't regret what I said shaa but with the way she's going, the thing that happened in 1900 will repeat itself again.

I have no opinion but I will assume kids should have no form of makeup until puberty. If a child of eight years old wants to put on lipstick e no concern me. By fifteen thereabout they start using those because of friends doing the same.

am a northerner most parent doesn't see anything wrong in it is only few schools that stand against it . immediately schools close girls come home and paint for d rest of d day.

I think young women should be taught how to do makeup, but they shouldn't be allowed to wear it until they're a legal adult or unless it's stage makeup or just playing dress-up.

It's just bad parenting to allow anything else.

I would explain to the child why it's inappropriate at their age, why it's appropriate when they're older, and why they shouldn't even bother with it. If they still insist, then there will be consequences.

But young women and men need to be prepared for adulthood. A young man also needs to be taught proper grooming. They're going to be someone's employee or leader someday, and they can't stroll in looking like they just woke up.

That's how I overhead a woman in the market saying she wants to buy something mature for her 3yrs old kid...
