1. SALARY:- Some of my colleagues have malaria mid-month, but once it is getting to 28,29,30...they start recovering.

When I met with our Chief-HRM, he asked me(and some other people), "Off the records, tell me the truth, why did you apply for this job?". Mind you, we had already gotten the job, this was at the point of signing our offer letters. They all started reciting those lines they crammed from job sites. "I need an organisation that will allow me grow, expand my potential...blabla"

When he got to me, I told him "The pay Sir."

2. It is a step in the right direction:- This is very important, but I put it second because if No1 wasn't impressive- I will take a step in another direction and I am still prone to taking that step for the right pay.

]3. My colleagues]:- At first I didn't get along with my boss and it was my first time experiencing a toxic boss- my former was bliss. The first time he harassed me, I went into my office, closed my door and cried. Crying helps me ease tension and anger- I love crying. I got home and called my friend, told him I will resign o, I sha know he encouraged me, then we laughed over it.

Back at work, he kept talking to me rudely and I kept taking it. At a point it was becoming draining, I knew that wasn't me. One day, he struck again, unluckily for him, I was under pressure that day. So, accumulated beef, plus pressure- I poured it all on him.

Everyone left the unit because they thought he was going to throw me something, but he just kept looking at me while tapping his table- obviously out of anger. I remember asking him "HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY YOU COME INTO THE OFFICE AND EVERYONE BECOMES MUTE? THINK ABOUT IT".

That day changed a lot, he was quiet for about 2wks. Then he started warming up, now we get along well. He even told me to rub that my red lipstick more, I was surprised he noticed my lips and its colour.

We are all happy...for now.

First , I oversee the affairs of a school and I meet new people everyday with diverse complaints and talks... It helps me become a better person and seeing kids calling your name

Secondly, I do freelance engineering services not limited to Hvac installation and maintenance, with my boys (2 for now)... Getting contracts with banks and big eateries have really helped a lot

Lastly, time management, meeting new people and money made noni

Nope

The success of my students, and the compliments I receive from some of them who appreciate the impact I've made in their lives. The pay is more of a token, but the 'thank you' and 'you're my best teacher' comments I get from some of them mean the world to me; they make me wanna do more.


The opportunity to help is another thing I enjoy on the job. I've had to contribute some money to the fees of some students from poor families. There was one of them who brought me a bottle of palm oil to show appreciation.


I also love the fact that I gain more experience every day. Glory to God.

I love my job bcoz of the close-knit team employees, even though the pay is not so great. Resuming work is just like going to see your bro and sisters and other members of the extended family. Choi some workplace can be so sweet, u just feel the day should not end, u guys are missing.
