On a more serious note....here is something I have noticed about Nigerians and their leaders...

When we talk about fighting corruption, what we usually mean is that our 'enemies' must be arrested. There are probably a lot of APC loyalists who would abuse me if I stated that Buhari should be investigated...and I need not say what would happen if I state that GEJ should be investigated...or Obasanjo or even late Yaradua.

The problem with Nigeria's war against corruption is that it is 'selective'. Nigerians want some people prosecuted, while some others must be saved. As a result...no one gets into trobule...because politics.

Well, the only hope we have now is for the incoming government in 2023 to probe the outgoing...and vice versa in 2027 and 2031....until we recieve some sense.

Nigerians tackling corruption since 1960..sad to say

This is the part I agree with Jonathan when he said that the best way to tackle corruption is to create a system that makes it difficult or impossible for corruption to thrive... Part of such system is the TSA.

Yet police still brazenly collect extortion fees from drivers. On Abeokuta Iseyin Saki road you can meet up to 15 groups of army police.civil defence etc collecting. If travellers like they can carry human head becaus they dont search as searching will reduce the amt of 'roger' they can collect. Thats just one aspect of our massive and unchecked corruption

I laugh in broken English
