barbed wire is designed as a physical barrier. It is widely use to deter animals and other intruder from gaining access over the fence. when barbs is install on a fence, there is a greater chance the animal can become entangled in the wire.

Electrified barbed wire could cause even more damage to the animal therefore barbed wire should never be electrified as the objective of installing it is not to kill but to deter, delay and frighting the intruder. barbwire IS NOT DESIGN TO KILL.
