"HE that is down need fear no fall;
He that is low, no pride
..."
Back in primary school, this song was drilled inside my skull.
We so much love our selves that nobody would like an uneducated doctor to operate on him or her.
None of us would hire an uneducated engineer to construct a bridge. An qualified engineer wouldn't even imagine a bridge build by an unqualified and uneducated man. Unimaginable.
Somehow in 2014/2015 Nigerians, both educated and uneducated started believing on the unbelieavable. Nigerian youth started believing that you don't need to be educated to lead them in 21st Century. They said, even, with " NEPA bill, we are going to vote for him"
Yes. The then Presidential candidate of APC told Nigerians on national Television that "fuel subsidy does not exist". He didn't say it on the comedy platform of " a Night of a thousand laugh". He was serious and reading from what seemed like a prepared paper. Surprisingly, educated Nigerians believed him.
Somehow, He told them that he would defeat Boko Haram in three months, again, educated Nigerians believed him. That was not even enough, they campaign organization went on uncontrollably with other "unimagineable campaign promises" And educated Nigerians believed.
Nigeria is so down that she doesn't know what it means to be down. Nigeria is so messed up that she doesn't know or have a sense of shame anymore.
surprisingly, Nigerians don't know that they are still suffering from post military dictatorship. Yes, the effect of military era is still very deep in everything we do. Its only when we travel abroad that we breath a breeze of democrazy and good life. Nigerians don't believe that the citizens have rights to protest against the government or government policies. They believe you can be killed and if you are killed, the government is right. Nigerian students are killed by Nigeria police for protesting and life goes on like nothing happened. The effect of military era. The DSS would arrest a man, and put all manner of false charges on him with public taxes, and Nigerians allow it. The effect of military era. Nigerians don't know or have chose to be oblivion that thus shouldn't happen under democracy. What type of future are you building for your children?
The effect of Buhari presidency will have a long way to go just like the effect of an uneducated doctor's surgery or the effect of a bridge constructed by an uneducated civil engineer.

We have a president who doesn't have a minimum required certificate to be president but rather chose to swear affidavat and select judges to approve it. How dare we think that it has no effect? The act of swearing affidavit instead of producing the required certificate is of itself a damaging effect to the minds of the youths. The fact that some judges sat somewhere and approved this, for what so ever reason is the last nail to the coffin of education and professionalism in Nigeria.
Our dear president carries bunch of prepared speeches and answers any where he goes in an era that a six years old elementary school student answers directly from her mind.
One man is single handedly destroying a whole generation and future ones to come.
shame would not allow me to attach a picture of our President scambling with his prepared papers like a pre-school child while other world leaders watches with bewildment. It is a shame that we have come this low as a Nation.
We have a president, who couldn't answer common questions properly on National televisions that our youths watched. Somehow, we were suffering from the effects of the past misdeeds not to talk of now that Buhari has littered every where with his mess. Only God knows how bad and how long the mess would linger. president buhari is not too old that he couldn't understand questions. He is just uneducated. Most people of his age are still sound in comprehending and in speech.
Showcasing Buhari to the world is a less damage than what he is doing to the pysche of Nigerian youths.
Buhari should resign Now, if he trully loved Nigeria, for his vice, Prof Yemi Osibanjo to lead Nigeria. Maybe, Nigerian youths should start seeing more reasons to be educated and be the best in academia.

The real issue is that Nigeria is filled with uneducated and unenlightened people who choose from their ranks leaders they relate to.. Buhari is a prime example.

I see no change soon

The major problem with democracy is that when fools are more in number,a fool will emerge the leader of the wise and the wise will have no choice than to accept the leadership of the fool.
This is what is happening to Nigeria of today.

I still don't understand why some people queued in the hot sun to vote for that calamity.

Our brains have been so messed up that we have accepted this as normal. This is not normal.
Buhari is doing no good to anybody even the politicians that pit him there.
We are destroying our own country. We are laying a bad foundation for our children.
What is happening today is the effect of what happened yesterday. And what will happen tomorrow will be the effect of what will do today.
Not surprised, the youths have started campaigning for another old certificate forger in a nation we have people like Mr Adesina, former minister of agriculture etc.
We have a national now that doesn't consider education as anything positive. Shame

Why won't buhari carry prepared speeches everywhere he goes? Last time he spoke without a prepared speech he said west germany, called merkel what she is not, called nigerian youths lazy, called someone else in his party a presidential candidate when buhari is the presidential candidate. But people overlooked all these things. I thank God that igbos did not partake in dumping this calamity upon nigerians.
It was so painful watching that UN video yesterday.

lalasticlala, pls for the love of this country, this article should be on front page. we cannot continue to get it wrong. The cabals should stop presenting this mistake of a president to the world. the cabals should be ashamed of themselves. they single handedly turned the country to a joke . special thanks to most of the Afonja states who voted this huge embarrassment to power again.
