I experienced an unpalatable event during my recent interview session In warri, delta state few months ago. Note: Once u are called into the interviewing room, greet them even if they didnt respond to ur greetings, dont repeat your greetings. In addition, after greetings dont sit on the chair provided until u are told to do so. Moreso, try to know the name of ur employer company and what they deals in. Then think of how ur skills can fit into their duties. Works experience matter. They often frown at the period to which an applicant was jobless b4 applying for job. U can introduce Some lies into ur cv so that they wont think u had been jobless for long. Lastly, if u have any form disabilities, pls put it to their notice even b4 the interview. Thanks 3 Likes |

ify2016: Fantastic advice but where can you go without the power that be. Nigeria CV without connection is a product of trash bag. My CV lasted for over 3 years with the security after submitting it through a receptionist but got the same job after meeting my church member who helped me secure the same job with same company after 2 weeks. It's just his grace and not by submitting thousands of CV. Whilst this might have been your experience, there are still people that get fantastic jobs in Nigeria without any 'powers that be'. 1 Like |

But in some firms, such is unheard of. Especially multinationals. Some go as far as having most part of their recuritment conducted from the headquarters somewhere outside of Africa.
