Getting A Car Loan In Lagos, Possible Or Not? by Y1nka(m): 4:25pm On Oct 05, 2019
[/color]I am a young business owner based in lagos. I run a small but growing tourism firm focused on African tourism in general but based in lagos here, registered under CAC, and spreading across few travel connecting sites.

I currently drive on UBER and Bolt as a side husttle to fund life expense and Tourism (it is actually expensive for startups). I drive a Hyundai elantra 2008, but I choose to quit uber/bolt really soon.
Reason being : it takes most of my hours driving , hence no much time to focus on my primary career which was the reason I started driving anyways.

I've so far (in 4 year consistency working with different tour bodies) had good referals from other tour operators, and more recomendations from tour sites too. Its about time i spread wing's and move farther. So my plan is to enrol in Alliance Francais for a French class as i needed to upgrade my language count (currently speak 3 language), attend business seminars (which are mostly paid for), and most importantly incorporate aggressive marketing into my business. This will require selling my car (the biggest asset i have for now in this case).

However, for my business nature, it is more expensive ordering cabs to pick up tourists at airport, and risky going out lates with them in taxi when they want to explore the city too. So, my only chance is getting a car loan after selling the (Hyundai).

Does anyone know of any practical car loan by a bank, auto dealers, or maybe even individual (who probably could sell a car for instalments agreement), within 10-20% interest in a span of one year maximum??

NOTE: i enquired about HIRE PURCHASE or conditional sale as it may be, and the price was outrageous and not feasible. My Hyundai which i bought for about 1m was 1.8- 2m. Corrolas were even higher. Hence I cant opt for such condition where I or the car owner would end on bad terms.

So kindly respond base on the requirements i asked, or a better equivalents. Other advices are also appreciated...

Car preference are (but not limited to) : Hyundai , Honda(Civic) , lexus or Mercedes. From 1.2m or Below. Either nigerian or tokunbo .
...

Thanks in advance

Cos it’s easier to find a car loan or on installment than get a 1m cash loan.

If I get the money, got no reason to sell off the car! But getting a car is more feasible than getting a cash!

Have you setup the basic marketing for your business before advancing into aggressive marketing?

What do you mean by aggressive marketing?

Is a fourth language really necessary?

Have you tried the free business guides online before going for the paid seminars? Some free guides are enough to get going for the time.

You can get a loan from commercial Banks, Microfinance banks, individuals if you have a workable business plan (in writing).
