Abu and Sola have the same number of CDs in cases that hold CDs. Adu has 2 full cases of Cds and 18 loose CDs. Sola has 3 full cases of CDs and 6 loose Cds. Write and solve an equation to find how many CDs each case holds. 2 Multiplying a number by 3 and then adding 4 gives the same answer as subtracting the number from 20.find the number. Abu= 2C +18 Sola= 3C+6 (Where C is a case of CDs) Now since Abu and Sola have same number of CDs: 2C +18 = 3C + 6 3C -2C =18-6 C=12 (i.e each case has 12 CDs) 2. Let the unknown number be X. 3X +4 =20-X 3X+X = 20-4 4X =16 X=4 |
