5 Ways To Stay Financially Fit Post NYSC by Nigeriahomebiz(m): 11:30am On Oct 08, 2019
If you are about starting your NYSC or a few weeks or months from passing out, this article will be useful to you if you have no sponsor, god father or benefactor to link you up with a job, grant to start a business or other financial favours while you job hunt. These are 5 ways you can stay financially fit (not so broke that you have to beg or steal to buy/pay for necessities such as T-fare, toiletries, meals, clothing etc). How to make some change that can keep you going till you land a job that will make a huge difference in your life. If you are looking for home business ideas to work with I have a list of 20 you can pick from simply send me an email: nigeriahomebusiness@gmail.com

5 Ways to earn some change while you chase your dream job after NYSC
Here goes.

1) Start a Freelance Service
This is the age of freelancing thanks to cheap internet data, fast internet connection and online freelance marketplaces. The skills in high demand for freelancers include; content writing (copy writing, technical writing, web articles), video editing, graphics design, digital marketing and coding. You can learn most of these skills online for free it will just take you 2 weeks to 9 months (at 3 to 6 hours a day) depending on the skill you want to learn. This could even become a full time income for you you start making a lot of money thus ending your job search and making you your own boss.

2) Get a part time Job
This is not as difficult as it seems. There are several part time jobs you can do while you search for a serious job. Teaching (private home tutor or teaching at a tutorial center), working at a fast food, hotel or any other place where you have option of working in shifts. Salary may be small but it should take you somewhere at least.

3) Start a Home Business
I have a recent post on nairaland on some home business you can setup in Nigeria and many of them don't require much startup capital. The post is located here: https://www.nairaland.com/5452545/5-nigerian-home-businesses-generate

4) Form a cooperative group
Esusu or what some people call contribution. It is a way to raise startup capital for micro and small businesses. Some people used this method to buy their first sewing machines, others raised rent money for their shops, some bought keke NAPEP with the method. It requires serious discipline but it should take you somewhere.

5) Help other People Sell their Goods
When this is done online is called affiliate marketing. Some people actually make money this way on the side on popular websites like jiji (especially for cars and real estate) when they connect buyers with sellers and make some small change as commission.
