Director, Academic Planning, Alex- Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike, Ebonyi State, Prof. Chukwunonso Ejike, on Wednesday 7th September, 2019 presented the accreditation team from National Universities Commission to Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba and other officers of the University at the VC’s Conference Room, where they were received.

Leader of NUC team, who came for accreditation of Banking and Finance Programme in the University, Mr. David Ihukwumere, introduced other members of the team on behalf of the Executive Secretary of NUC, Prof. Rashid Adamu, and thanked VC for giving them a warm reception.

Prof. Patrick Olajide Oladele, Chairman, Banking and Finance Accreditation Team congratulated Prof. Nwajiuba and University management for the stable academic calendar of the university. He said they were in the university for physical inspection of the department, to look at the relevant documents and advise, where necessary, and that after inspection, the team would come back to give feedback to management, adding that he hoped the department was ready for the exercise.

Vice-Chancellor wished the team a fruitful stay in the University, saying that the university is convinced in the role of NUC on quality assurance and that the university will continue to do the right thing and ensure students graduate in record time.

The accreditation team concluded the inspection the next day and presented report to University management as promised. DVC, Academic, Prof. Sunday Elom, who stood in for VC told NUC team that the university appreciated the comments made on the new department and that though AE-FUNAI is a new University and funding has not been easy, they will do their best to meet up with the requirements of NUC for the accreditation. He further appreciated the commission for its efforts in ensuring that quality is maintained in both the university academic programme and education system in Nigeria.
