Kogi Students To Gov. Bello: "Give Us Our Bursary Or Return Our N650" by Gemid94(m): 3:57pm On Oct 11, 2019
The Association of Indigenous Students of Kogi state on Friday, has appealed the state governor, Yahaya Bello to either pay the agreed bursary incentives or refund the N650 used to register for the scholarship scheme.

Recall a portal was launched by Kogi state government last year where Kogi state students nationwide applied for a bursary incentives at N650 per student as application fee.

However, it is over a year since students applied for the bursary but the Kogi state government never find it worthy to consider the payment of the bursary to the students who have taken to the social media to express their grievances over what they describe as negligence on the part of the former to meet the needs of the students.

According to reports, several government functionaries like the Chief of staff, Mr. Edward Onoja promised in last June that the bursary will be paid in July but nothing has been done in this regard.

Similarly, one Mr. Levels Pumping who is the Special Senior Adviser to Kogi state governor on students affairs also promised that the students' bursary incentives will be paid before the end of last month (September) but failed to keep to the side of the bargain.

Votes don't count in this country. If it really counts, some people won't ever dream of contesting.
