Mac12: I don't think anything is wrong and you cant really call a baby under 1 year fat . My first kid was big and everywhere I took him then his 2nd name was orobo, but as he grew older his weight adjusted . He is 10 now and at a normal weight. As babies become more active they tend to loose weight or rather their height catches up with their weight. Just continue to feed your baby like you have been doing and then reevaluate after the baby starts walking or after his first birthday. If you think he is still overweight by then you can now start looking for ways to bring his weight down 8 Likes |

A good information but i need to also add that is not healthy on the child to breastfeed while you are sleeping just like you pointed out up there that you lay down and sleep while the baby breastfeed, it causes ear problems to that child. Nice topic 1 Like |

Herroy: Thanks for this . Please mothers be careful if you decide to lie down and breastfeed. My write ups are mainly from my own personal experience. I tried sitting up and breastfeeding but my baby fell out of my arms one day hence the need to lie down. Once you have a baby the days of deep and sweet sleep are non existent for a while . Another option could be that while madam is breastfeeding the baby while lying down, oga or whoever is around to do omugwo could sit with madam and the baby and watch over them while madam catches some sleep. 1 Like |

welldone madam for this interesting and educative write up.I think the main reason why ladies refuse to exclusively breastfeed their babies is to prevent their bread from falling and sagging. How true is this beliefs and if true how can it be prevented |

Thank you very much ma, for taking ur time to put this up. I & my wife we expecting our 1st baby any moment from na. My question is the two scan we did we were told our baby is a boy, is possible for the result to be right? 2ndly. My wife do not seems to have any of this fears that some ladies talks about she's very lively which am happy about, is me that actually have some anxiety bcus of the pains I see her go through while she was still around and that of the delivery which do come to my mind most times. Though she have travelled to stay with the parents (my parents inlaw) since is our first baby so she can be well taken care of after delivery. Thanks |

Gavorche:Breast will sag whether you breastfeed or not . I know women who have breastfed 3 kids and still have firm boobs and so also women who breastfed only one and the boobs are completely sagged. It is all a matter of genetics that is why they say when getting married look beyond the physical. As women age the body changes the only way out is if one decides to do breast lift and augmentation. 6 Likes |

AyosMan:Am glad to hear your wife is not anxious it just means she is ready and eager to see her baby. Pain is part of childbirth, all you can do is pray for her to be strong and for labor to be fast . If two scans say it is a boy then I believe its a boy. The scans for my kids were 100 % accurate. But I have also heard of cases where they get it wrong hopefully yours wont be one of them. Wish you and your wife a safe delivery. |

rosalieene: From my experience it is safe. Just like any other medical procedure once it is done a professional there should be no problems. The only side effects I felt after was a bit of weakness in my hips for a few days after delivery. 2 Likes |

Thanks for this great write-ups. Please, how long does tear heal up completely and how soon can one resume the oza room affair? . Delivered 5weeks ago, tho I started taking care of myself and baby from 2nd week, since there's no one to stay with me. My tear site seems to be healing slowly(or so I think as a ftm). All stitches has removed but d site still looks like a wound. 3 Likes 1 Share |

beeijeoma:Thank you so much Ma'am. Your messages are easily relatable as I experienced them in my first pregnancy. I'm currently pregnant with the 2nd. and in my 1st trimester but it hasn't been easy at all. I feel really exhausted, nauseous, vomiting, salivation, etc. I can barely do anything at home cos of the weakness and odour sensitivity that makes me throw up at the slightest offensive odour... What can I do to ease this tension and become useful in my home. I'm just tired cos I feel people around me don't understand and are getting exhausted too. I also want to ask about the epidural because they offered it to me in my first pregnancy and I declined cos I was scared of Complications and stuff like that. Thanks 1 Like |

I think I did exclusive breastfeeding for 4 months but in total, she breastfed till 13 months. Although breastfeeding is good and advisable, I believe children who were not breastfed for one reason or the other, (e.g lost their mum during the birth) still grow up as strong and healthy and some even stronger. 4 Likes |
