Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has directed public Primary and Secondary Schools affected and submerged in recent floods to proceed on a three weeks holiday beginning from Monday, October 14, 2019. In a recent attacks by rain to overthrown major communities with flood in the riverine areas of the State. VAM Recall a final year student of adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba akoko was reportedly carried away by flood at her resident due to continual downpour. A statement ,on Friday, by Donald Ojogo ,Commissioner for Information and Orientation says “This becomes necessary in order to forestall possible attendant incidents that may likely affect lives of vulnerable pupils in those areas as a result of the floods.
