MBGN: Why I contested despite my accident -Miss Zamfara

Top 15 finalist contestant who represented Zamfara state in the just concluded Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2019, Tonwerigha Tamarabrakemi aka Tamara has given reasons why she took part in the contest after sustaining serious injury from a domestic accident.

Tamara, who is the reigning Miss Bayelsa 2019 told our Nolly TV Africa news that she was involved in a domestic accident a day before going into camp as part of preparation for this year's edition of MBGN which took place in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State.

According to her, a day before camp, she was carrying a bucket of hot water when she slipped and poured on her body leading to bruises and injuries on her legs, head and hands but was determined to contest.

Tamara said, it was not ease but after sometime it made stronger and more determined to contest adding that she sought the consent of the organizers to take part which they obliged her.

She said, "I had to go to the hospital every morning at 5am for my treatment, then return to camp which some contestants knew about it so that I can meet up with the activities and other requirements of the camp.

"You know, the MGBN camp has strict rules but I know that with hard work and extra courage I can up my game with the burns to wear the crown, so I never gave up on my aspirations and dreams.

"Although, I didn't wear the crown but am grateful I came out in the top 15 finalists. This is a product of determination, consistency and grace coupled with support from my family, friends and well-wishers", the former Miss Nollywood Culture and Tourism Nigeria 2019 noted.
