The reference letter (if it has ALL the details required by CIC) is more than enough, and in addition, you have a salary certificate, so you are good to go. I worried so much about the lack of online presence of one of the schools my wife taught in over 8years ago (as she was also paid in cash then), but in the end, it was not an issue. The CAC documents will raise red flags as I believe over 90% of employers will chase an employee out of their office for asking for their CAC document. We in addition included my wife's Employment letter, ID card, and resignation letter (stamped when received by the school back then). The Company can make copies of the latter 2 (since I am sure you submitted them when leaving) to support your application. Any publications (we used their year book) by the school bearing your names / pictures may be added too.
N/B: ALL these are not necessary though, but I have not seen anyone who had issues for providing enough relevant (not too much) supporting documents. These were enough to cover the Jobs in which my wife was paid in cash / bearer cheques.

Regarding the second question, I believe if anything bothers you, follow your gut and explain it, as it never hurts to make stuff clearer for a VO to arrive at a positive conclusion faster. That will also help you relax better during the wait instead of second-guessing yourself for not including stuff (just don't over-explain - keep it simple and concise).

I wish you and yours the best!

CanadianBae:
Good morning all! Please I need clarity, it's regarding my work experience, I worked there in the past and I have been able to get work reference letter and salary certificate as I was paid in cash but the issue is that they do not have online presence. Do y'all think it will be too much info to upload the company's CAC as they are willingly to give me a copy?

Should I raise a LOE with the change of name evidence of my mom and siblings? But then again, it has my name on it and I haven't been using.

Let me just respect myself and forget about the CAC before I shoot myself on the foot. Thanks
Eraytee:
IMO @bold is not necessary. that doc (CAC) is not accessible to employees, if am a VO i might think its an arranged work experience. keep your app simple, what you have already is more than enough to proof your work with that company. even some companies in Canada under AIPP doesn't have online presence.

How do you know it will drop? How sure are youPersonally I believe that doing everything legitimately possible to get your score high is the wise thing to do instead of waiting and hoping it drops.
Also more qualified, younger people get into the pool every single day so what are the odds that it will drop? When was the last time it dropped?
Remember that this EE isn't for Nigerians alone, there's overly qualified people getting crs scores of almost 490 in other parts of the world!
Don't give him/her false hopes. To be on the safe side, he or she should put in their best to increase their scores.

Ok what now?

Please, can I enter the pool while still working on how to increase my CRS?
Secondly, can I later add to my credentials or e.g add a better result?
Thanks

offcourse you can and you should as long as you are eligible as per their criteria. You need IELTS results apart from been qualified to enter the pool to even create a profile that can receive an ITA

Hi everyone,
Finally after 8 months wait I got my PPR on 10th December.
Please I will make to know how long it takes to get passport back..I submitted on 13th December
Secondly, what doc do I need to use as proof of funds at the POE .
I have 12,300 CAD in my mutual fund account. And the equivalent of about 500 CADin my bank account.
My question is do I need to print another statement of account to prove the 500 CAD or can I just bring it in as cash?
Thank you.

To all PPR hopeful keep the faith and dont worry your PPR will come a thief in the night.

Compliments of the season to you all.

why do you have to bother..you'very got the PPR which means your application is about approved having checked that you have the required funds..they only need your passport to stamp the visa(2-3 weeks wait) and return back to you with your COPR..I wonder why you bothering about that..you can bring it in cash or leave it there.

Thanks for your response...it because I read that you will have to show proof of funds when you arrive in Canada.
That's why I want to sort the opinion of people who have been through the border

Even if he can't settle in Canada now, he can go to Canada with you guys to get his PR and come back. PR is valid for 5yrs, which he can use later.

maplemom:

It's something you guys have to decide on and it won't be an easy decision. I am applying as unaccompanied spouse but that's because hubs will genuinely not be able to come for now so he gave the go-ahead for me to apply just with the kids.

Have you maxed out(getting the highest score) ielts?
There are courses you can do that WES evaluates so you can get point for 2 or more certificate.

DISCLAIMER: THIS PPR STORY IS FOR ABYEJECKS

My Ppr Timeline
PPR : December 4th
ITA: June 26th
Aor: July 5
Adr(schedule A): July 31
Mep/Bil: August 6(wedding anniversary)
Bil completed: Aug 9
Long silence
I raised cse Sept to find out Vo and a week later response came Ottawa.
Another silence till early November I raised cse for eligibility status and response came that background verifications is in progress and eligibility in progress. Nothing about security. I relaxed.
Ppr came in early this morning by 5am.
Relocation Story
I first heard about Canada Pr in October 2018 when my hubby's colleague disclosed to my hubby that a mutual friend had just moved. Unknowingly to us, she has been writing Ielts without telling hubby. I decided to research and found out another family friend had just completed her pebc report and never told me. She introduced me to nairaland. I joined in part 5. I was a silent reader. I studied nairaland like novel. I started preparing for Ielts.
November 2018, we did passport for my son and mine was to be renewed and changed to hubby's name. It was very stressful thanks to Immigration. Finally, it was ready early January 2019.
We did evaluation with Ices. Hubby's school Unn was fast within 2weeks sent his transcript. Unilag was stressful and finally sent my masters transcript in April after 2months delay. We wrote Ielts together March 12 2019 computer based with BC
Myself(pa) L8.5 R8.5 W7 S7.5
Hubby(spouse) L7 R9 W6.5 S7
Hubby's Eca report came out in April. Miraculously my Eca report came out in June.
We created profile on June 17.
We got ITA June 26th with 475 at cut off 462
We booked medicals for July 4 with Qlife. Did PCC 3rd July.
Paid upfront fees both processing and rprf.
Work experience
3yrs plus as a secondary school teacher. Noc 4031. Put hubby's work in his personal history.
I submitted employment letter, Reference letter from nairaland, ID card and payslips. I indicated I was paid in cash on the reference letter.
Proof of funds
We did a fixed deposit in our joint acct and used hubby's pension letter and statement of account for buffer in case of exchange rate. We wrote an loe breaking proof of funds down. The second loe was to explain the name change in my ID card as the date was reissued due to name change.
Then the long wait.
Finally, ppr has landed. A big shout out to Nairaland. I learnt everything here.
P.s Justwise banned me from nairaland so simeone else has to post my ppr story.
Ppr will come for everyone waiting. Thank you all for the support.
