if you don't live in Ottawa, i'll strongly suggest you do it in Nigeria, the "anyhowness" knows no bound and jurisdiction.
i am sure you don't want to experience the horror stories of nigerians who spent an arm and a leg just to renew their passport
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by yemblaze(f): 5:49pm On Oct 18, 2019
Yes ooo...and I heard renewal is not free

bankyh1905:
@Bolded: No it's not. It has an expiry period of 5 years. I was looking at my card as I typed this response.
@Italicized: Not yet. It's not linked to any form of "social insurance" for now.

PS: Wikipedia is not always a dependable source of info.

Yep! You heard right. According to the FAQ section of the NIMC website: "The National e-ID Card is free at first issuance for now. However replacement or renewal will attract a fee."

Once the NIN is generated, it doesn't expire (as explained by @chanceux). And the paper serves the same purpose as the card, at least, as a form of identity.
@Bolded: I'm not surprised. Unfortunately that's how the system works. I did my registration 31st of December, 2015, was given two papers (with the same content but different colors ) but I didn't get the card until last year. A colleague told me he read on the organization's website that the official waiting period to get the card is 2 years (I'll share when I find it). But my experience and those of others I know confirms it. Why it takes that long to generate a card is a matter of conjecture, but worrying? undecided

@Italicized: You're not alone.

Eraytee:
please does the paper print out too expire? did mine in 2016 and up till now no card was issued, what a failed system we have. things like this is what strengthens me to see this canny EE till the end. so imagine when you have to pay for renewal of a card you never had? nonsense

I’m new here and starting the process.
Thank you all for the information.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by chanceux: 8:13pm On Oct 18, 2019
Copied this from another forum. Someone's estimated CRS cut off based on selected possibilities as regards draw date. With the anxiety that comes with waiting for the next draw, I've also joined in making some analysis and if anything, this analysis right here seems logical

After 18th September draw with 3,600 ITA issued and cut off 462, the score distribution would have been approximately:

601-1,200 = 0(3,600 -655)
451-600 =7,277(10,222-2,945)
441-450= 8,645

CRS score distribution of candidates in the Express Entry pool as of September 27, 2019 CRS score range
Number of candidates
601-1,200 =579
451-600 =8,946
441-450 =8,704

It means in 9 days from Sep 18th to Sep 27th, there where:
601-1,200 = 64 profile/day (579/9days)

451-600 = 185 prof/day (8,946-7277 = 1,669/9days)

441-450 = 7 prof/day(8,704-8,645= 59/9days)

So, by 2nd October, the CRS distribution in the pool will be approximately:

601-1,200=839(579+260(47x 5days))
451-600=9,871(8,946+925(185x5days))
441-450= 8,739 (8,704+35(7x5days))

After 2nd October draw with 3,900 ITA issued and cut off 464, the score distribution would have been approximately:

601-1,200 = 0(3,900 -839)
451-600 =6,810(9,871-3061)
441-450= 8,739

CRS score distribution of candidates in the Express Entry pool as of October 11, 2019 are:
601-1,200=509
451-600=9,632
441-450=8,833

It means in 9 days from Oct 2nd to Oct 11th, there where:
601-1,200 = 57 profile/day (509/9days)

451-600 = 314 prof/day (9,632-6,810 = 2,822/9days)

441-450 = 10 prof/day(8,833-8,739= 94/9days)

So, by 23rdth October, the CRS distribution in the pool will be approximately:

601-1,200=1,193(509 + 684(57x12days))
451-600=13,400(9,632+3,768(314x12d)
441-450= 8,953(8,833+120(10x12days))

Suppose that from the newly added 6,590 (2,822+3,768) profile from 2nd Oct to 23rd Oct, it will be distributed equally to (451 - 476 to 600) as seen in the internal tracker. Thus,it will make 6,590/26=253profile/score.

With 3,900 ITAs the cut off score will be approximately 466-467
3,900 minus:
-1193(601-1200)
-253 (of 476-600 newly added score)
-253 (of 475 newly added score)
-253 (of 474 newly added score)
-253 (of 473 newly added score)
-253 (of 472 newly added score)
-253 (of 471 newly added score)
-253 (of 470 newly added score)
-253 (of 469 newly added score)
-253 (of 468 newly added score)
-253 (of 467 newly added score)
-177 (of 466 newly added score)

By 30th October, the CRS distribution in the pool will be approximately:

601-1,200=1,592(509+1083(57x19days)
451-600=15,598(9,632+5,966(314x19d)
441-450= 9,023(8,833+190(10x19days))

Suppose that from the newly added 8,788 (2,822+5,966) profile from 2nd Oct to 30th Oct, it will be distributed equally to (451 - 476 to 600) as seen in the internal tracker. Thus,it will make 8,788/26=338profile/score.

With 3,900 ITAs the cut off score will be approximately 470-471
3,900 minus:
-1,592(601-1200)
-338 (of 476-600 newly added score)
-338 (of 475 newly added score)
-338 (of 474 newly added score)
-338 (of 473 newly added score)
-338 (of 472 newly added score)
-338 (of 471 newly added score)
-280 (of 338 of 470 newly added score)

Hello, hope this is not absurd but I was wondering if I could get an estimate of how much you spent altogether migrating from Naija to Canada as a Pharmacist. And also if there's any special cgpa requirement

Good evening House. I'm sure it's just my eyes that are deceiving me but just to be sure, I have to ask. Has anyone done medicals at OIM in Lagos recently? I haven't seen any testimonies to that effect. Thanks a lot

The child's birth certificate should carry her name as the mother
Omoolope2023:

since you said change of name is not compulsory.

below is an example of passport name they currently hold .

husband; Akani victor yemi
wife. haruna Ruth Kemi
son; Akani samue bunmi.

does this reflect same family since she is not changing name but she can claim unaccompanying spouse.

1) Document evaluation with PEBC (Canadian Pharmacy body): You need to have an ID called NAPRA ID (you will pay 95k to get the ID).
After getting the ID you then proceed to document evaluation fee (which is about 182k)

2) Licensing statement from PCN (50k) will be sent by PCN

3) Transcript sent by the school (30-60k depending on your school)

4) IELTS: 75k (BC) or 73k (MOD)

Then after getting ITA, you will then pay for Police Clearance certificate, medicals, visa fee. Check Page 1, there's a column for pharmacists

To your second question, your Pharmacy degree is equal to a master's degree which gives you additional points on the express entry platform. And No, they don't use CGPA

It has been accounted for in the 601 to 1200 bracket. And they are not bothered about CRS cut off cos they are way above it

Okay Thanks for the prompt response, but is it possible that after spending all this one can still be denied entry?

And I guess this is minus the cost of visa, international passport and flight cost as well

Loool I feel there's more to your fears than you asked.

But no, you won't be denied any entry unless you lied in your application. Falsification of any document to hoodwink the Visa Officers will attract a ban of about 5 years from entering Canada.

Secondly, if you reach the cut off, you'll be invited to apply (ITA). Work experience, Ielts play a major role here. Check Page 1 to fully grasp the process, if you then have any confusions, come around and drop your questions. We'll be glad to assist as much as we can

Lol, alright
Thanks a lot. It's a lot of money that would probably cost me years to save up so I wanted to be sure because I usually hear of fails and denials and stuff like that
