SOFT LANDING GIST Beautiful people. you've all been missed, I've come with my landing gist Heads up my landing gist is very uneventful maybe because I had a lot of help So I flew Ethiopian Air (The longest voyage of my life) from Abuja to Calgary on February 15th the food on the plane wasn't bad and I slept as much as I could to avoid sudden bouts of hunger as I did not carry the usual fried meat and things like I've read others carry, the layovers were fair but the distance was exhausting. I arrived Toronto Pearson Airport on the 16th where I passed through immigration and heard the famous "Welcome Home" (I was like na me be this?) Well the process didn't take up to 20 mins and I was done. I couldn't get my SIN on that day cos it was a Sunday and I think they close early or didn't open at all I can't remember. I was given a brochure I think its mainly for newcomers and then I proceeded to claim my luggage and check in with air Canada to complete my trip. I arrived Calgary around 1ish and my brother came to pick me up with my niece and nephew. Jet lag dealt with me shaaaa, luckily the Monday was Family day so I had more rest. By Tuesday my SIL (Sister-in-law) and I went to get a phone line but I was told I needed my SIN for that so, I went got my SIN which took less than 15 mins then went back for my phone line which took about 25 mins registration et al. I opted for Freedom as recommended by my SIL and the $25 monthly plan. She advised its best I start building my credit on time. We then went ahead to book an appointment with the bank (RBC) for the next day to open an account. This took about 1 hr after which we proceeded to the registry for my health card (took about 5 minutes). So I had the bank print a document for me which showed my address as it was a requirement for the health card. About a week later, I got my bank cards (debit and credit) and Health card. That's my story o, this has to be the most boring landing gist ever, having my SIL drive me around all the time I didn't get to experience public transport, they live in NorthWest I hear its one of the decent places in Calgary. While I was there, my bestie (from my PPR story) called me that she had finally gotten the golden mail, I was super excited for her cos the story for get as e be to think she applied before me but it all ended in praise. I'm back in Nigeria now without my PR card but my brother will bring it back for me in April. Congratulations to everyone on every step forward that has been made may you all reach your promise land 57 Likes 5 Shares |

Good Day Gurus in the house, Pls kindly help out on this question. What CODE or JOB TITLE can I choose under the FSW NOC program for Solar / Pv installer ? I intend to apply under the FSW program and my primary occupation is Solar Installation. I’m into both industrial and domestic solar energy. But my challenge is that, I couldn’t find the Job title under the NOCs and I don’t want to choose blindly bcs I know misinterpretation is a serious crime to IRCC. Pls, any constructive answer to this question will be greatly appreciated. Thanks... 1 Like |

Evie123:do CIMA or complete the acca to F9. using one semester is a gamble. i know someone who got rejected after 15 months cos of one semester ish |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by COPR2020: 7:56pm On Mar 11, 2020 |
ednut1:Please stop putting fear in people. One semester is not a gamble one year or one semester can not be found on cic website. What is stated there is simply Completion of college level certificate. People have used it and I have not seen any rejection. |

LONG POST ALERT Finally, I have my passport with the PR visa stamped on it. Some of you might remember my story back in part 8,Aug 21st 2019. I got a refusal letter from my VO (montreal) that my application was denied on the basis of insufficient funds at the time of application. To cut long story short, I did follow the recommendation from you guys (@ladymarshall, @ednut, @majamisile, @topeolu1, @jummolami, @jjohndoe83) over here and it worked out well. I had to liquidate my Stanbic IBTC mutual funds back and included other accounts to buttress my point that I had sufficient funds, drafted emails, had experts in and outside the house proof read it and finally prayed with my wife before I clicked the send button. About 3 weeks went by and I didn't hear anything. I already gave up and decided to write IELTS again. Started studying and at some point, decided to trend the IRS scores but then I noticed cut off was hovering round 460 and the best I could muster was 455. Still I went on with the decision to re-write IELTS hoping that the crs drops someday. The week I was to make payment for IELTS, my wife asked me to wait just one more week before paying. So I jejely listened to her at this time because she warned me previously to include my US account when we applied but I felt that the account was only 3 months old and doesn't meet the 6 months requirement stated on the canada imm website. At exactly one month, I was in a boring meeting at work and decided to check my mail cos the meeting no get head or tail. Lo and behold, there was an ADR request asking for FBI report and Egypt PCC between 90 days or they cancel my application. You need to see the speed at which I left the meeting room to the bathroom just to call my wife and share the good news. Within 9 days, FBI report don set. Now the devil tried another one, Egypt PCC was getting difficult to get. I drove couple of times to the Egypt embassy in Washington DC but all they told me was that I had to wait 3-4 months. One lucky day, my wife and I made another trip to the embassy hoping to get some luck. On this day, the queue was so much that the ambassador had to come out himself to attend to people. I didn't know he was the ambassador but I explained by situation to him. He said " I can help you out if you have any family in Egypt". As God will have it, my past 2 bosses in Nigeria were transferred to Egypt but they didn't come to my mind then. My wife just mentioned their names straight up... call Mr xyz and Mrs wya. The ambassador stamped and signed the PCC request for me, asked me to call them immediately and he took his time to explain what they needed to do. This was about 25 mins on facebook call with them. After the call, I showed him the appreciation and only noticed that he was the ambassador when I saw his pic on the wall and one of the staff confimed it. Long story short, Egypt PCC came back after 60 days. I submitted everything and got CoPR last week at exactly the 1 year mark!!!. Did Fedex international priorty and got my passport back in 3 days. THIS MUST HAVE BEEN GOD!!! To all those expecting COPR, may God come through for you just as he did for me and my family. Hang in there, hold on tight. You will share the good news soon. Yours Faithfully, Gretop!!! 94 Likes 3 Shares |

You and this Law degree and evaluation question sha.. Abeg, all our lawyers here, can you pls come and talk to your brother? Lol.. Seriously, no other body does it the way IQAS do. You just have to wait till they're ready later in the year (June or so) if you really want your degree evaluated as an equivalent of a Pro one. abbey4christ: 3 Likes 1 Share |

Hello everyone. Great job everyone here always ready to help (Too numerous to mention). May God bless you all, amen. I have some questions and would need help 1) I have job experience not related to my degree or NOC (4165), can this be added to my EE profile? 2) I entered the pool before coming here and I now realise a lot of precautions I should have taken before filling out the EE, Is it possible I delete my profile and apply again? Will I be affected? 3) My current EE score is 450, started learning french to improve it, however, worried about my spouse's NOC because its equivalent is military, will this affect my application? Thank you in advance |
