They may ask for any information on your spouse related to your application. Why do gift deed for a spouse, I don't think that's required. A simple consent that the PA has access to the funds is sufficient more so that it's acceptable for the money to be in either the PA's account or the spouse's.

However, since the funds wasn't originally owned by the spouse, the suggestion of a gift deed is appropriate.

ans123:
Not true, VO will never request for her husband's account statement. Just ask your husband to do a gift deed for the money, you don't have to notarize it since money came from your husband's account

hello guys i want to evaluate my masters degree with ICES. they require the transcript to be sent directly from the school but they also requested for some additional documents such as colored copies of photo identification document, front and back of each award and of the front and back of other academic records.

my question is how can i send this additional documents, is it by email or post. also my masters certificate is not ready will my statement of result be accepted?

I think you will attach them while filling in your application

As in seriously o! If I was the VO in charge of this case, with all the details given out so far, I'd already know by now what to expect. I am also of the opinion that as a top thread that have most Nigerians seeking to migrate, VOs would comb here for trends from time to time.

Good afternoon. Please I decided on ICES for my ECA evaluation and need your kind assistance with information on the application type used and most importantly how you made payment for the evaluation.

ICES only accepts credit card for the online application. I would like to know if it's possible to use someone else's own or must the card be in my name?

I used GTB Mastercard to make ICES payment. It works

For the paper route it is stated that payment must accompany the application package.

Please I need clarification before proceeding to avoid any mistakes as you cannot open more than one profile with them.

Thank you very much

No

But I saw this on the first page

ayusco85:
Please I need to make a decision btw ICES, IQAS and WES? Pls the experienced ones shld advice which one is better, cheaper and faster.
Hope I got the acronym correct.

ECA is becoming a big issue with the addition of WAEC/NECO for Nigerian certificates by WES, so it's important to understand the pros and cons of WES, ICES & IQAS.

WES vs ICES vs IQAS

WES evaluates WAEC/NECO before degree certs issued by Nigerian institutions can be evaluated while ICES & IQAS dont require such.

WES verifies your transcript/WAEC/NECO by sending mail or email to your school that sent them the transcript and wait for your school to respond before evaluation is completed while ICES
& IQAS require ONLY your school to send your transcript and no verification is required.

WES requires your school to send your transcript by post/courier while ICES requires your transcript to be sent by post/courier or via official email of your school and IQAS demands for your transcript to be sent by post.

WES charges $200 for all documents submitted plus additional $7 for standard delivery or $85 intl & $25 for local; ICES charges $200 per document and additional $75 for intl delivery or $26 for local; while IQAS charges $200 for all documents submitted plus $15 & $75 for local and intl deliveries respectively.

WES minimum processing time is 20 business days when all documents are recieved and verification email replied; ICES is 10 weeks (some got their ECA report within 4-5 weeks) and IQAS is 12 weeks.

WES & IQAS send soft & hard copies of the evaluated document while ICES sends only hard copy with a charge of $75 for intl delivery & $26 for local.

NOTE

WES favours OND/HND certs & evaluates it as 2 or more certs. It also favours nurses with BSc cert.

WES doesnt favour LLB but favours LLM cert.

IQAS favours both LLB & LLM certs & nurses without BSc.

Wes is the fastest.

I have read through the forum and gotten positive mentions with regards to my question below, but most of them are far dated and things/situations change every now and then. At such the reason for my asking afresh.

My aunt who happens to be my dad's elder sister wants to gift me with my POF and even some addition to help me with my application, ( specifically #3,800,000)I have small savings from my salary, it's not significant as I don't earn much as a registered nurse in a private company.
Please is this okay for the immigration process, and won't have any negative effect on my application.

Thank you in advance to all who will take out time from their busy schedule to answer me.

Cheers.

I'm 90% if not 100% I read on this thread that if your proof of funds has been inside your account for more than 6months that you don't need to provide a gift of deed and I had the same mindset of doing the same thing. Just imagine that!

Hi,

Your Aunt should transfer the said amount to your dad, then your dad can transfer it to you stating clearly in the description that it's a gift for immigration purpose.
Reason: That way it's simpler to explain the gift deed (father to daughter). And you only need to show the transfer slip/statement from your dad to you as you bear his surname/firstname. Cheers

We all need to understand some things about this process as it partains to POF.

1. While in principle, there are set standards, no 2 applications are the same.

2. Typically, if your application is simple with all information provided appears to suggest that your years of experience and income on the long run could fetch you the POF, the VO "may not" ask for further proof, hence the 6 months of your POF remaining in your account may suffice.

3. Also, when your POF is in investment form with it spending sometime in your account before the investment, from the testimonies of others, it appears VO don't request for further proof. P.S point 2 above should also be a major consideration.

4. The VO has the right to request for more documentation and proof if the information you have provided is suggestive of some irregularities. Hence the need for you to be proactive. If you know your income and experience can not fetch you that POF, simple provide the details of the funds upfront to avoid stories that touch. If it's a gift deed, provide the proof with an LOE and save yourself the trouble.

5. As has already been said, notorising your gift deed is a choice not a requirement from IRCC.

6. For the person asking with regards to POF, my suggestion would be as ednut has already said, write an LOE stating that the POF is from your husband. Attach your SOA the month when the fund was transfered or any proof of the transfer ( I would suggest you stick with your SOA). In your SOA highlight the transfer and upload together in the section for POF. There is always a separate section for LOE to be uploaded. From other testimonies, they will request for your husbands SOA if the money was in his account and he was only writing a letter to inform them that you have access to the funds in his account. But I doubt, his SOA would be requested. Caveat: no 2 applications are the same, if you need to add anyother proof, do as your gut leads you.

I hope this helps though.

Spot on! While I agree this is a platform to learn and be guided, I really think some conversations at this phase of our application can be done privately, specially when the story isn't a straight one that would require a twisted advice/feedback. You can send a personal DM and seek what you are looking for, cos I am sure we all know those that are quite vast in this process on this thread.

I am in the HR space and when I do recruitment, I often go online to see people's reactions and comments on threads, and spot loop holes. Hence, I am sure VOs will be looking at such comments from people.

Sometimes we ask ourselves why they make processes harder... It's places like these they sometimes get feedback. A perfect example was when WES started seeking to evaluate WAEC back then... I am sure they must have seen or heard somewhere that people's age is on their WAEC results as a way to catch those that are forging their age to gain points.

My thoughts though... I may be wrong. Let's sha be guided!

some people would always try to play smart and abuse the process. I feel the VO knows wassup and wants to nail him.

Is his name not on your birth certificate?
There has to be a proof of relationship I think from either parents(dad or mum).
Is his name not on your birth certificate?

Yes I thought of this, but truth be told, myself and my dad are having some misunderstanding, which has made me worried about getting him involved, plus his name doesn't match mine

That been said, someone also advised me off this forum to pay the money in with his name, I am worried about doing anything off the truth, what if they decide to ask for his bank statement, (that's a what if), as I have seen a one off on this, even though the lady didn't talk much about what transpired. From all other testimonies nobody has been probed further.

That's why I said let me seek further clarification from a wider audience.
The option of using my dad is off.

My mum is late

All my siblings are step siblings, my mum had only me for my dad. I grew up with this my aunty that wants to assist.

As a pointer, I have received cash gifts from my aunt, like during Xmas she gives us all cash, myself and her kids, and I think once or twice, during the course of the year too I have received cash from her. I just thought to mention.

Or can the option of my siblings also come in even though they are step siblings.

Thank you all once again for your assistance.

Cheers

Please I want to apply for my transcript. Can I make the remita payment online and submit the printed receipt to the school to process for the transcript or must I go to the bank. The lockdown and pandemic issue is giving me concern esp on the way banks operate these days. I might have to spend the whole day for it

Cornelfranca, what you just wrote/suggested, which has been reported ,is not the kind of thing we approve here. Please take that conversation to a family meeting or pm the person and talk about it off here. If the funds are not coming from your Dad as source, don't try to bypass and we won't advise on it too. Don't you people know you are hurting your applications and that of others? Even though these posts are reported, they are still visible to people outside until its taken down, by then, the EYES would have seen it and be waiting for you.

Good morning guys. I just want share a testimony of how wonderful and marvelous the Lord is. And also to encourage any one on this journey not to give up.

I started my MSc in unilag to get more CRS points.
Due to the Nigerian factor, the program took 2 years. Fast forward to February 2020, after I sent my transcripts to WES, I was stuck on secondary verification from February to May because of the lockdown. [img][/img]

I finally got the estimated complete date mail on the 26th may: estimated date (June 22).
Lo and behold, my report was completed the next day!!! grin grin grin grin grin
I have dived into the pool with my designer swimsuit with CRS of 478. grin grin grin

No matter how daunting this journey. I just want to encourage anyone that needs to hear this. Don’t give up.

PS: Someone please me tell Trudeau that I’m ready for him. cool cool

Your recent responses are always too harsh, as though you are always spoiling for a fight, try and tone it down some bro/sis.
The fact that it's an online platform doesnt mean we should throw good ethics like courtesy, respect of others and a dignifying response out of the window.
You are not obliged to respond to all enquiries or comment, I however notice you make an effort to type harsh comments recently...you could state this same comments in a respectful way. Have a blessed month sir/ma

I believe everything is done by these people once one paid for transcript generation and dispatching. By Everything I meant including verification phase.

They should up their game, Corona has given them coverage, acceptance and recognition.

No it's not all done by them..they have various services...1) is for delivery only 2) request and delivery.. I don't think they are in any way liable for verification as it's only your institution that can verify if you indeed attended and graduated from the school with the grades you claim.

Please what forum on whatsapp/telegram can i join for May 2020 AOR? I will really appreciate. Thanks

NaijaCanadian28:

My COPR story
Hello everyone, I’m not an active member of this forum, I started following few months to our AOR.I know my story is not the regular one you get here but i hope to inspire you with it. Timeline is stated below-
IELTS- LRSW(8,8,7.5,6.5)
CRS- 467 then 475
ITA- Oct 4th 2019 then Nov 13th 2019
AOR- Dec 15th 2019
MEP/BIL- January 2nd 2020
Stream- CEC(inland)
COPR- 27th May 2020.
moo My Canadian journey started in December 2015, I was recently married and about 7 months pregnant with a Canadian study visa. I left Nigeria 27th December 2015, landed here 28th December 2015. My husband applied for his work permit in February 2016 and it was approved before the end of the month. He joined me in March 2016. We welcomed our daughter in April 2016 and with the help of a strong support system (my mum and my husband), I was able to scale through school. While in school, i heard about express entry but i never gave it much thought, I assumed it would be stressful and that i’ll never be qualified. We had always planned on moving to another province with a flexible nominee program(Alberta and Manitoba were our top choices then) after my studies. Meanwhile, I met another Naija Pharmacist (may God bless her mightily) like me on Instagram and we got talking(she also schooled here and she got her PR before me), she explained the process to me and told me my chances were really high- I was below 30 with work experience and could claim points for Masters including the canadian education factor.

I decided to heed her advice and talked to my husband. I registered for IELTS and scored LRSW: 8,8,7.5,6.5-this was not a good enough score for FSW but i already graduated and got a skilled job. I calculated my CRS and realized that I would score 467(without hubby’s ECA and English proficiency test)if i waited to finish one year canadian experience. I was not confident enough that my writing score would improve and 467 seemed like a high score to me..smh. We welcomed our son in October 2018(this slowed things a little bit as i had to take a little break from work). I started my ECA process in April 2019 with PEBC, it was ready in August. We were invited on October 4th 2019(CRS cut-off of 464) but we had to decline the invitation because we didn’t want to risk being banned due to misrepresentation (there were too many errors, long story). The next draw was a program-specific draw for the trade folks so no ITA for us. The third draw in October almost put me in panic mode with a CRS cut-off of 475! I was like: ”what kind of wahala is this?” That same weekend, my husband wrote CELPIP(he registered immediately after the draw and had few days to prepare), the following week his result was out (I can’t remember his scores) and our CRS rose to 475, I was still scared but tried to be hopeful. Thankfully, we were invited in the next draw(CRS cut-off of 472).

We booked our medicals in an IRCC-approved clinic in Ajax where we reside and it was a stress-free experience, In less than one hour we were done. Nigerian PCC was done through a contact my husband had(we just scanned our passport and the form with our fingerprints and other information and he scanned the certificate to us the next day-it was straightforward). I contacted the Director of Pharmaceutical Services in the hospital where I did my internship, and the woman was really helpful. I gave her a template for the reference letter and she followed it. I didn’t have my payslips(for my Nigerian work experience) so I didn’t upload them. For my Canadian work experience though, I attached all my payslips and reference letter. There was no need for proof of funds because of the stream we applied through, we didn’t need RCMP PCC too as IRCC has some sort of access to the database. I also didn’t upload a letter of explanation( I honestly didn’t see the need, our application was straightforward I guess).I included our kids as unaccompanying dependents and stated my reason as- they are Canadian citizens and do not need PR. The system removed them after our BIL was sent. This whole process really made me respect people with long timelines. Hmmm.. the wait is not easy oo, less than 2 months post AOR , I was already calling IRCC, the agent said it was too early(me sef know). I decided to channel all my energy into reading for my Pharmacy licensing exams, it didn’t really help but i tried. I applied for GCMS notes in late January and got it on 26th of February-It stated that Eligibility was recommended pass, criminality in progress and security not started. I was kind of relieved about the eligibility and i was sure of PR at this point because i did not kuku commit crime, so why could they possibly deny me? and besides eligibility is like the major hurdle in a PR application (in my opinion). GCMS notes was dated “1/31/20” so i thought there would be progress after a month and I raised CSE one month after, update was the same. Raised another CSE (I can’t really remember the date) but I got a generic response. On the 23rd of April, I checked my account (at this point, I was not really regular at checking my account because frankly, i didn’t see the point and it was becoming redundant) but surprisingly, i noticed that the “review of additional documents “ segment of my account had changed to “not applicable “(additional document was my biometrics payment receipt i uploaded since late last year dec before my BIL was sent and Medicals passed).I thought to myself-there’s no way someone will work on my application and not do something. I decided to raise CSE immediately to know the status of my application. I was kind of nervous about calling but i eventually did(on the following tuesday) and the agent said nothing had changed on my application. I was taken aback but i don’t know why, I was pretty sure my application had reached the final stage. The following day I got a reply from the CSE i raised and everything was passed, I was so happy, I messaged my husband at work and we were both grateful. Although i hadn’t gotten the golden mail but at that point, We were about 90% there.

May 27th 2020(my mum’s birthday and children’s day), my husband received COPR for the two of us and i thought it was odd(I was the primary applicant and i have never heard of IRCC sending mail to the secondary applicant) everything seemed legit as the letter had all our personal information but I just wanted to be sure. I raised webform immediately and called IRCC the following morning(I’m sure i was the first person because wait time was one minute...lol) and the agent said: “an approval email was indeed sent from our office yesterday”. Words can’t experience the joy i felt at that period, I did my little victory dance, said some words of thanks to God, called my husband and called family and friends to share the good news. It was so surreal, it is still surreal, the pr journey is finally over, countdown
to citizenship in 2022. Thank you Lord. I’m sorry my story is so long..lol.
