The status of my WES application changed to 'in progress' yesterday but it has changed back to 'on hold' today.
Please does anyone knows what could be responsible for this, more so CIPM informed that they have sent the hard copy of transcript to WES, which is the only item showing as pending.

Also please does anyone has confirmation if WES has started accepting hard copy transcript now.

Many of us don't have much time, it may be better to start hustling for the letter even before ITA..... to give time to execute steps 1 to 3.

I think the approach will differ depending on people's circumstances:

1) the structure of the organisation - in a well structured environment, there might be no need for manager intervention. I sent my request to HR and asked for the letter with IRCC details issued to "whom it may concern". They said they couldn't. I gladly gave them IRCC Nova Scotia etc as the address. Maybe because I know they were bound to attend to my request without speaking to my boss or anyone else about it. I would advise that people should always go to HR first if possible and document the initial request on an email which HR would respond to. If that fails, then you can engage the manager to approach HR on your behalf. When engaging your manager you could consider making the request at face value without going into details of what you need it for. The manager may guess or ask further questions, which you will need to respond to truthfully.

2) one's relationship with one's supervisor/boss - if your manager is the mentor type, then of course approach him/her and spill your guts, have an open discussion. They could get HR to write the letter if you can't. I'm afraid some managers may be unreasonable, so gauge yours to decide the approach.

3) other evidence that serves the same purpose - most structured companies have an appraisal process. If an employer reference letter is not possible then nothing shows your responsibilities more than your appraisal. Same for goals. The goals submitted or given at the start of the year. Also the job vacancy would usually list the JD. If it were me I would get all these in addition to the employment letter and the WRITTEN refusal from the employer to give me a ref letter with responsibilities. This is if all else fails sha. I don't know why the manager writing the reference makes me nervous.

If it is a one-man business or unstructured environment, then na to dey grovel to HR, to manager to whoever...you are the one that knows the value of what you need it for, begging doesn't hurt

Please, I have some issues with my Wes verification. My school sent my transcript to Wes via courier, UPS precisely and gave me a tracking code. The package/transcript has been delivered to Wes 7 days ago as shown by ups, but Wes is yet to acknowledge receipt of package and my profile still shows

STATUS :ON HOLD. WE ARE WAITING FOR YOUR DOCUMENTS.

Please my question is, how long does it take for Wes to acknowledge receipt of credentials?
Mine is about a week now, yet no acknowledgement
I've sent emails but I haven't had any luck with that either.

That May 30th reading was hard. It was probably the hardest I had done even during my practice. Luck is a big factor in this exam.

Hahahahah! My thoughts exactly! Most of us awaiting PPR mails know how we struggled too. V a friend that wrote ielts 14 times with her husband... Back to back till they made it... Now the AVO is the holding them. Not like they dull o! They both made good second class upper from university.

Not to discourage o... It's very possible to nail the exam at first trial.. Just like someone posted earlier, but sometimes it can be multiple times. Just don't feel bad but rather be focused on your focus with the 'end game' in mind. The devil is a liar.. Lolz.

By default when you copy the address from your WES profile after payment, your reference number should be there. Incase you didn't copy it properly, you might have to get a contact at the transcript office to ensure you reference number is added. Otherwise the document will be rejected by WES.
