The Bank of Uganda, often abbreviated with BoU, is the Central Bank the Republic of Uganda.

Although the bank is completely owned by the Government of Uganda, but it is not a government department.

Currently, the Bank of Uganda (BoU) has 9 branches and currency centers, situated in different parts of the country.

The purpose for these currency centers and branches is to process, monitor, and store currency.

Fort Portal Currency Center – Fort Portal
Gulu Currency Center – Gulu
Jinja Currency Center – Jinja
Kabale Currency Center – Kabale
Kampala Currency Center – Kampala
Masaka Currency Center – Masaka
Mbale Currency Center – Mbale
Mbarara Currency Center – Mbarara
