For the first time on a global scale, E! will be recognizing some of the most iconic and influential people on the African continent via the African influencer of the year award category as part of the E! People`s Choice award 2019.

Eight African music icons and television personalities have been nominated for this year`s award which will be held at Baker Hanga in Santa Monica, California on November 10.

Those nominated include Casper Nyovest(South Africa), Wizkid(Nigeria), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania)

Yemi Alade (Nigeria), Davido (Nigeria), Bonang Matheba and Minnie Dlamini-Jones both from (South Africa)

You can start voting for your favorite artiste from Saturday, October,19. Fans can vote as many as 28 times per day. The nominee's hashtags are # and then your favorite artiste name
