- Plateau state is in the eye of the storm again after gunmen invaded a community and killed three women.
- The state continues to be subject to attacks by militia groups who have since taken over some communities.

- The frequent attacks have sent residents, especially those in communities, in panic mode A report by ThisDay indicates that three women have been confirmed dead in Plateau after they were shot by bandits in Vatt community, Barkin Ladi local government area of the state. The report quoted a youth leader in the community, Mr. Dalyop Solomon, saying that the victims were killed while they were harvesting tomatoes in their farms on Monday, October 7.

Solomon gave the names of the deceased women as Tabitha Joro Dung, Ngo Yop Gwom Pam, and Zong Peter. He said their corpses had been deposited in the mortuary in the locality. His words: “Our people are mourning because suspected armed Fulani militias invaded a tomatoes farm where local women were harvesting the crops at Vatt community.”
According to him, security agencies had visited the place and had promised to fish out the perpetrators. Plateau state continues to suffer numerous attacks from unknown gunmen especially in local communities.
Many residents in the state live in Internally Displaced Persons camp as their homes have been invaded and taken over by militia groups. The federal government's promise to relocate the IDPs back to their various homes and communities have not yielded any positive outcome.

Meanwhile, the army are in the southeast doing python dance instead of fighting Fulani herdsmen and bandits in plateau and other northern states.
