Re: Hardest Maths Question by Nobody: 9:45pm On Nov 09, 2010
@op, what is the question or what are we to do? Are we to find the value of the variables?
Re: Hardest Maths Question by Rasulullah: 9:35am On Nov 10, 2010
You are required to find x, y, z
Re: Hardest Maths Question by Nobody: 2:50pm On Nov 10, 2010
Will simultaneous equation or matrix solve the question?
Re: Hardest Maths Question by bforce(m): 3:01pm On Nov 10, 2010
nither simultaenous nor matrix can, i fink it has to do with smtn higher
Re: Hardest Maths Question by Rasulullah: 3:32pm On Nov 10, 2010
Matrix wil not solve it because all d coefficients are zero
Re: Hardest Maths Question by EMMYD01(m): 3:49pm On Nov 10, 2010
I'll get back here in d evening cos presently am in d vehicle 4rm ibadan to lag. When i get home,i'll try it

I think it wil not b solve using substitution method, rather using coeffitients does not come here

No mathematician in the house?
Re: Hardest Maths Question by Odirah(m): 12:39am On Nov 12, 2010
D question wil be solved using a subtitution method, its a simultaneous equation with 3 variables.
Re: Hardest Maths Question by bforce(m): 6:35am On Nov 12, 2010
if u re gonna use substitution its gona be very complex nd out of control cos i tried it, anyway still du wat u cn cos i really wnt tu know the answer
Re: Hardest Maths Question by abioila(m): 7:42am On Nov 12, 2010
Hold on guys.i tink i shuld b able to solve it.
Re: Hardest Maths Question by EMMYD01(m): 8:09am On Nov 12, 2010
Guys,i don't think d question is right because its a simultaneous linear equation with three unknowns and the step i took is take a pair of d equation and eliminate one of d variables and later take another pair ,then bring together what u got 4rm d first and second pairing and then solve it like simultaneous equation. Then finally substitute these values in one of d origina equation to obtain d third value. But i've been solving other question like this but in this one now the varibles are giving me zero. Mayb its not correct.
Re: Hardest Maths Question by Rasulullah: 8:58am On Nov 12, 2010
D question is 100% correct
Re: Hardest Maths Question by Seun(m): 8:59am On Nov 12, 2010
The 3rd equation is probably wrong.
Re: Hardest Maths Question by Rasulullah: 9:00am On Nov 12, 2010
I wonder why dey gave us dat question last year, at 14 yrs
Re: Hardest Maths Question by Rasulullah: 9:06am On Nov 12, 2010
I hv d answers, but my problems are d steps and solutions, I GOT D ANSWER FROM MICROSOFT MATHS, but i think it uses graphical method with 3d, I NEED UR PERMISSIONS TO PASTE D ANSWER, but help me take to a lecturer or prof
Re: Hardest Maths Question by abioila(m): 9:06am On Nov 12, 2010
Mehn dis work na die.but am vry sure its GUSSIAN rule that one can use 2 solve it,i.e makn one of d variables subjet of formla in one of d 3 equations nd pairn 2 of d oda 3 equations, substn d value of the changd subject of formla in those equatns then solvin simultaneously.afta dat replace d values of the variables in any of d 3 initial equatns to get ur answa.but as pa dis work d fuda u go d more complicatd d solutn.and dis was d first tin i did today on d bed,now am avn serious headache.

Re: Hardest Maths Question by Tunsbobo(m): 9:41am On Nov 12, 2010
Omo, i tried using 3X3 matrix, but my answer wasn't correct! I don't know how to answer this question, i also tried substitution method but the question just became more complex.
Re: Hardest Maths Question by abioila(m): 10:59am On Nov 12, 2010
U cant use matrix because 4rm what I noe u can only use matrix to solve linear simultaneous equatns but dis one is not linear.
Re: Hardest Maths Question by Semitexy: 11:10am On Nov 12, 2010
dont provide the answer yet because to every pro there is always a solution
Re: Hardest Maths Question by Nobody: 12:07pm On Nov 12, 2010
@topic im almost there
Re: Hardest Maths Question by Rasulullah: 1:08pm On Nov 12, 2010
I am alwayz saying dis, MATRIX wil not solve dis because d coefficients are all d same(=1)
