The Next President 2023-.... by Inteltower: 10:14pm On Oct 20, 2019
The Nigerian masses are simply caught in an ever unending quagmire of who and of what region, tribe or religion to vote for. come 2023 we the people aren't thinking outside the box. we complain,campaign for aspirants, condemn opponents and shape the incompetency we have in our leadership.

The problem of Nigeria are three things, yes three, these include;
* Bad leaders
* Unitary system &
* The docile masses.

its not insecurity; if we had a trump as president boko haram would by now be at its last citadel before driven out of the country, it is not underdevelopment if the different geographical regions were to control their resources and run their affairs the way they seem fit SW, NC, SS & SE by now would be on the same level with Singapore, Indonesia, Angola, Rwanda, etc. it is not political instability; if we had citizens that could see beyond their differences and strongly hold the elites to account by daring means like Hong Kong, Egypt, Lebanon, etc by now a senator won't be going home with 50million monthly, it not poverty; if only the majority of population at the north weren't ignorant & illiterate, the SW wasn't decongested and SE had more industries/business hubs, etc.

it is these three problems that torment us, its bad leaders especially those in the military era that put us all in this state in the country, it is the unitary system of government that is promoting injustice, inequity, trampling of human rights, slow development and attracting selfish and illiterate leaders that can be clueless, engage in corruption and oppress the people politically & economically, and of course the majority of docile people that are mainly chest beaters & online judges, regionally apathetic to another regions cause or uprising, bickering on behalf of the elites forgetting themselves in the conversation, going about their business even when a general issue beckons their presence.

the three problems are problematic & connected. even if we had a good leader that has good intentions for the country the unitary system that is ensuring the current retrogressive status quo will render him inefficent & confused (e.g Goodluck)
it is greedy & selfish bad leaders that maintain this form of government even when they know it doesn't work for the people/regions but the elites; they can't take a cue from UK that understood their diversity and adopted a regional/con federal system to meet to the peoples demands, it is the docile people that wail but keep voting in incompetence, the highest spender, popular and old persons.

all eyes, mouth, ears and fingers on keypads are geared towards 2023 presidential election.
the 3rd problem of Nigeria is we the masses by being fools repeating the same thing of voting in a political figure & trapped by popularism to give majority of our votes to either APC or PDP. even though voting these days don't seem to count.
we know the unitary system is a problem to us all benefitting the elite more why can't we put outside just voting either tinubu or Atiku & demand for restructuring; a change in the system of government. if it is working perfectly at UK why not Nigeria ?

that's what my political group; we vote movement sets out to achieve come 2023 but what or how do you the reader of this post want to influence or stand against the vicious cycle, how or what will u do; maybe complain, vote for atiku or tinubu (which u know what their next four years in administration will be like), be apathetic or sell ur votes ?

The next president shouldn't be who its next/turn as usual but who will push a bill for a return to regional system it government. the problem of unitary system was imposed on us all by the military elite, in this era of democracy where power resides in the majority we are the people that can & must solve the second problem because I tell u Tinubu, atiku or any Igbo President campaigned for come 2023 and beyond won't eradicate the unitary system..

to my dear reader, my fellow Nigerian...
who should be the next President ?
not whom, but of what kind ?
& what must he/she first do to put the country on the progressive track ?

feel free to join the We Vote Movement group.
