A vocal political group, Bayelsa Youths for Change has called on the federal Government, especially the Inspector- General of Police and the Chief of Army staff to rescue Bayelsans from the Claws of Governor Seriake Dickson who is hell bent on installing his political stooge Sen. Douye Diri as the next Governor of Bayelsa State.

The call was made at an emergency press conference held in Bayelsa by the President of the group, Amb. Tonye Samson, he alleged that the Governor has been secretly empowering the Touts by buying guns for them and promising them a bigger role in the next government. He also said there are plans to pardon some of those that has been sent to jail for various offences, in a bid to make them available for the November shooting program as planned by Dickson, he also said some of them have been appointed Chairmen of local Governments in Bayelsa, others as Special Assistants to the Governor. He cautioned the youths not to be carried away by the Greek gift as they might have implicated themselves, and will be arrested for their crimes when the David Lyon Administration commences.

He also call on the Economic and Financial Criimes Commission to thoroughly investigate the missing 17.5 Billion naira stolen from the coffers of Bayelsa State and ensure they don't export the money before been caught.
