people and motivational speakers sef... before he became a billionaire did he waste money listening to people talk or did he invest and reinvest money in businesses?.. and btw real estate is a goldmine just say your too broke or unimaginative to make it there.

I still dont get your beef angry
Your problem should be with the organizers of the seminar. Not the billionaire. Billionaires can motivate but they are NOT motivational speakers. Expecting too much from them might get u disappointed.

Most billionaires don't have so much time to spare unless that activity or event is very important or critical to more money coming in.

If there is one thing I hate in this life it is poetry and speeches. Speeches are never short for reasons unknown. Why are they never two or three minutes long to whet the audience’s appetite? They mostly range from ten minutes to a full hour and twenty minutes. I have nothing else to do with time? How do people talk so long? The best speech I ever had the pleasure of viewing was Jesse Williams’ 2016 BET Awards one. My God, I felt blessed on hearing it. Denzel Washington also gave a good one during his son’s graduation event.

Don't you know a lot of the glitz and glamor is all lies? When a billionaire needs to to buy tickets to his speech then you know he's not really a billionaire but a shady infopreneur.

Unless I’m having a 1 on 1 conversation with the billionaire it’s nothing special to me from reading their book or watching their online video motivational speeches.

I won’t be more fascinated sitting in a hall listening to dangote speak unless I can have a direct conversation with him. That’s just me.

@OP....your problem is your expectations. The higher the expectatios.... the bigger the disappointment. You really believe he a there to speak for free? The sponsor could've only afford to pay him for 10 minutes.....that's an investment ...he was the bait to draw people like you....the investor is on his way to becoming a billionaire. There is much to learn for this seminar.

Op was expecting the "aspire to perspire" kind of talk. Real billionaires know that raising unnecessary hope with sweet hope talks cannot make many billionaires because the journey itself is not by sweetcoating those words people want to hear like, "you can do it", bla bla bla. Experience is the key, which they can share better if you are close to them.

Anyone of them giving motivational talk is just aiming to make more money.

It depends, you should listen to spoken poetry.
One person who stands out for me in spoken poetry is Suli Breaks, but there are a lot.

Although I have discussed this with a family person who was in school studying for Msc in English M at the time about Spoken poetry and it's acceptance in the literary world and she did say to me that Spoken poetry was debated if it was indeed true poetry. It wasn't that acceptable yet, For me I like it tho wink

That Denzel Washington's speech was very touching, long yet touching. I find myself watching it few times when I feed on TeDx videos on YouTube, somehow it just pops up, Issa great speech.

Try Spoken poetry.

Why should they talk long? You want to learn thier secrets?

Ofcourse if anyone is a billionaire, you will keep quiet because you don't want competition into something that's regularly spinning you cash.

You will shut up and hold the secret coz you want to maximize the idea that's working for you before it cast.

Look at Warren Buffet, people are on the line to pay millions just to have dinner with him and have him talk and spill some business secrets!

Below is a screenshot from Justin Tron of Tron cryptocurrency who just paidwink

There is only one thing a billionaire cannot have more than any other person: 24 hours in a day.

Everyone has it in equal measure. What you do with yours and what the billionaire does with his makes the difference.

What is the purpose of giving us this story when you were not ready to mention names? When your "unknown billionaire" spoke for 10 mins didn't people see him? Was he wearing a mask? How i'm i suppose to connect with what you're saying when i cannot imagine who it was or what story he told? Come to think about it. I read through everything! I really wish I can undo that reading. 1. Sometimes, less is more. Not if it doesn't inspire, though.
2. "Motivational lectures" are an industry unto themselves, further funding the already rich: name-selling. Be warned.
3. The easiest way to become a billionaire is to inherit a billion.

Last week, someone in my family informed me that an extremely well-known billionaire (who will not be named) was going to be in town for a speaking event - and my family member had tickets. I remember thinking: "How cool is this? I always see them on TV! It will be amazing to see them speak in person!" The event was marketed towards people seeking success, and it seemed like it was going to be a motivational/uplifting occasion.

The day of the event came and it was a full house. We were lucky and got there early - we were sitting in the second row! The energy was palpable and I kept thinking to myself, this is going to be great. The time finally came. The host came out, introduced himself, gave some background on his success, and tied in how he works with the billionaire who will not be named. I will say this host was the epitome of what a speaker should be: high-energy, and intriguing. It made me even more excited.

The grand moment arrived, Billionaire stepped out onto the stage and I could not believe it. He was right. there. Spoke of his rags to riches story, which I will say is truly inspiring. He told stories. Made us laugh. And exited the stage after about 10 minutes.

I quickly began to grow disappointed, realizing most of this event will be with other keynote speakers - none of which I (or my family member) was familiar with. However, I wanted to give these speakers a fair chance. Maybe they'd say something that was of value. Maybe there was at least one golden nugget they could give me. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Most of this event came to be a real estate seminar, to put it simply. No disrespect to anyone in real estate, but I have zero interest in making a career of it. Sparing you all the frustrating and boring details, this seminar came off as an awful pitch for a (pricey) 3-day course on real estate. I thought to myself: "You have got to be kidding me".

My family member and I ended up walking out of the event, as we realized this was not going to be what we expected. It did make for an interesting conversation on the ride back home.

This person is a billionaire. They are highly-respected and yes, famous. Why would they feel the need to prey on people by selling them this perfect image? That if they attend this 3-day course, they WILL be able to purchase real estate and they WILL make lots of money from it. This Billionaire has money - why feel the need to continue feeding his wallet in such a seedy manner?

I felt like a fool. The event had been marketed in such a way that was 100% misleading. It led me to wonder why people who reach Billionaire level come to this? If I was someone with success of that magnitude and had the platform to reach such a large number of people, I wouldn't want to sell fake dreams. I'd use it to truly, genuinely inspire people. Give them that small push they may just need. No fluff, no nonsense. No "classes" or seminars. Just a straight-forward, real conversation. Maybe a story I share or something I say could inspire someone to go out and do it.

I don't know if I will ever have that kind of reach, but I'd like to think that if I did, I wouldn't lose myself or my integrity.

LoL! This sounds like something Donald Trump did and the reluctance to name the billionaire seems telling.

My take on it is becoming a billionaire is a convoluted path that the billionaires themselves may not be able to lay out in a series of seminars in any meaningful or helpful way. Most of it is social dynamic that cannot be reproduced just by hearing about it. Another part of it may be personality quirks the billionaire is not willing to disclose. And finally they seized opportunities that the public might find distasteful or might not be palatable for their image.

We, the billionaires don't engage in long conversation. undecided

You are very correct, they have to be brief so that you do not ask them too many questions about what other things they did to become billionaires.
Do you expect a bllionaire owing AMCON billion of naira to give you a chance to ask him about his repayment plans of the debt?
What of billionaires who made billions from fuel subsidy and from poorly excited contracts.
Some forgein billionaires not only make good speeches , they write inspiring books where you find principles they used to become billionaires.

Speaking about the bolded, I have concluded that most billionaires do not become what they are because of hardwork only, they mostly have the desire to make money and have the mindset to make money without regard or pity. They do not know what is right or fair, they take, take and take from whoever, whatever and wherever. They are always extremely selfish.
