Who is the Lord Jesus Christ?-JPR

A curtain separated the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies in the ancient Jewish Temple. The temple had three chambers/rooms. The first was the outer court, next the Holy Place and then the Holy of Holies. The Holy of Holies was the habitation of the Ark of the Covenant which symbolized the Presence of the God of Israel (YHWH).

YHWH the God of Israel is spirit (John 4:24-25); He is the Holy Spirit. This curtain that separated the holy place from the Holy of Holies seemed to enclose God's glory and presence ; temporarily anyway. At the appointed time in fulfilment of God's word (Isaiah 9:6; Zechariah 12:10 etc) this God who is spirit was made manifest to man physically (1 Timothy 3:16). The man Jesus Christ was The physical manifestation of God on earth. His flesh was the real curtain that separated man from God. Jesus Christ was God walking on the earth; remember His name was Emmanuel which means God with us. That is why when he died on the cross, the curtain that separated the Holy of Holies in the temple was rent from top to bottom. The Flesh of Jesus was the word of God. God is in His word. Jesus Christ is the only true God (1 John 5:20).

This is why Jesus said none could see the Father except through him (Jesus). You can't access the father except through His word represented by the flesh of the Lord. It is as well why He said His flesh was bread, for the word of God is bread.

Contrary to several popular heresies, God created all things. God didn't create an angel for that Angel to create other things. God created all things by himself. He created all things by Himself, through Himself and for Himself. Let's see how the apostle Paul illustrates this in Romans 11:34-36

"Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?"

"Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?"

For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

Please note the words from, through and for. God created all things through Himself and for Himself.

Same Apostle Paul in discussing the Lord Jesus Christ in Collosians 1, He says all things were created by Jesus, through Jesus and for Jesus.

When the Lors Jesus was on earth, God was ruling the universe from the earth.
I know you are asking : "So God died on the cross? How can God die?"

Beautiful question. What is death? Death is not a cessation of life, no! Death is a separation of Spirit from flesh. When Jesus died, His true self (Spirit) was separated from the flesh.

When Jesus prayed, it was the humanity of Jesus that prayed to the God that He was for though He was God, He was man. Again, look forward to my article titled : Why do we Pray?



And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life (1 John 5:20)
