DedeNkem: Nope!.. you are dead wrong on this, because as a human, you vibrate to your name. Naming ceremonies are part of it too, where naming symbolizes or implies... something. Examples; United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Arab republic of Egypt etc. What does Nigeria in Hausa/Fulani/Yoruba/Igbo/Effik etc means?. You need rebranding folk because, your Nigeria today means extreme poverty/bokoharam/drugs and everything negative. First thing first. |

knowledgeable: The name "Nigeria" doesn't loot our public funds! The name didn't create the horrible insecurity in the country! The name didn't cause the bad governance we experience everywhere in the country! The name doesn't rig elections! So it is a dumb idea to blame a name for the numerous problems in the country! I'll reiterate that the main source of all our problems is CORRUPTION. Until this menace is tackled or at least reduced drastically, the country will continue wallowing in the ocean of corruption and terrible governance! Don't chase rat while your house burns!! |
