The Federal Government will
examine crucial areas where
Nigeria and Turkey can have co-operation and improve on their existing ties, Vice President Namadi Sambo stated in Abuja during a courtesy visit to him by a delegation from the Republic
of Turkey led by its Minister of State and Deputy Prime Minister, Cemil Cicek.

The delegation was at the State House to brief Mr Sambo on the outcome of the just concluded 4th Joint Commission meeting
between Nigeria and Turkey and the agreement signed thereafter.

“The joint agreement that has just been signed is in line with the policy of this administration, considering that this visit has come at an appropriate time when Nigeria is focused ontreviewing and rejuvenating her economic development to ensure that its socio-economic standard is transformed to a positive one, to place her among the 20 most developed economies by the year 2020,” Mr Sambo said.
