EzeUche0: We have not been able to feed, even 1/40th of the black mouths we have( considering the many deaths and all), and you think it makes sense to argue that we need more black people to compete? |
Re: This Must Never Happen In Nigeria! by EzeUche0(m): 6:34am On Nov 14, 2010 |
Kobojunkie: The reason we cannot feed these black mouths is, because we grow export crops and also we do not use our land wisely. Africa should be the bread basket of the world. |
Re: This Must Never Happen In Nigeria! by Kobojunkie: 6:36am On Nov 14, 2010 |
EzeUche0: Who do you blame for this then? You are not making any sense still. We are struggling to keep alive those we currently have today, yet you advocate we increase our population? Do you know how many die each year of deaths that they ought not to . . . the many that starve to death, die of preventable diseases and careless causes? you want more lives to so we can record more deaths? is that what you want? |
Re: This Must Never Happen In Nigeria! by EzeUche0(m): 6:40am On Nov 14, 2010 |
Kobojunkie: There is multiple factors to why we cannot feed ourselves. Over reliance on aid, conditionalities on loans from the World Bank etc. But I think you know why Africans cannot feed themselves like they should. There is no one person to blame. |

Re: This Must Never Happen In Nigeria! by redsun(m): 12:58pm On Nov 14, 2010 |
Ignorance breeds war.It is more like a case of armed chimps at loose with war machines. But i have always envisaged a situation where the faith of doe will be melted on men like OBJ and IBB in nigeria. |

WOW, this film is hardcore and the most disturbing film I have ever viewed. I really wish I didn’t view it . Images of Stark unclothed, AK47 totting, quasi transvestite, cannibal marauding killers who were boasting of sacrificing innocent toddlers by slitting them open, pulling out their pumping hearts, cutting them into tiny slithers and feeding on them prior to going into battle because they believed it would make invisible in battle. A film of Nightmares. A graphical depiction of African inhumanity, or neighbourly love, damnnnnn. Absolutely sick and horrifying. The bit I also found disturbing is when Gen Butt claims he went to Nigeria, bought some meat from a street hawker, and noticed it was human flesh after shaking the pepper off it, he spat it out and reported it to the police, and now he doesn’t eat meat anymore. |
Re: This Must Never Happen In Nigeria! by Nobody: 6:36pm On Nov 14, 2010 |
ShangoThor: How true is that? How can he tell the diff? So all those rumors were true, those mallams do sell human meat? |

@OP Thanks for the video, i really hope all the internet warriors clamouring for a bloody revolution will have a thing or two to learn. War is not about who wins or loose, its about who is left! |

ShangoThor: DAMN! Thanks for the summary. . .Anyhow, anyhow, I must somehow get a fast enuf connection to watch the whole stuff |

*still working on the English subtitle one. sry for the delay I was working all day, but I will post it up tomorrow @topic Gen. Butt-naked is full of *ish if that statement he apparently made about his purchasing meat during his exile in Nigeria is true. As far as I know he may have had flash backs of the hearts/ flesh of people he had consumed during the war and was paranoid. I highly doubt Nigeria(ns) would stand for some cookoo selling human flesh in the market unlike Liberia where it is actually considered a delicacy (hope i spelled that right lol). There have been historical and recent accounts of people calling human flesh "bush meat" there (which is why i said in another post I refuse to eat bush meat in Liberia when I go to visit) and people/tourists, some knowingly, consume it as it is prepared and apparently "tastes" like regular meat. Another interesting fact is that a lot of those kids (90 percent) actually fought in the Liberian war (the third one) and their commander "General Never Die" is a notorious former fighter for Charles Taylor, his name is Joseph Duo. There is a famous picture of him jumping in the air in celebration after having bombed his target. He is one of the few in the movie who fought from the beginning (1993) until 2003. *Fcked up how much he looks like my Liberian ex. Anyway here he is. . . In the movie: In the REAL war: |

^^^^^^^^^^ Why would anyone want to visit a war ravaged country? Now I know not all Africans are the same. You do not hear this occurring in Somalia or DR Congo. Even my people did not have this in our history. We were just a head hunting culture. |
Re: This Must Never Happen In Nigeria! by Nobody: 6:23am On Nov 15, 2010 |
^^that is what I was trying to explain to the others that Nigeria can go to war but Liberia is far worse. Anyway I want to visit Liberia because as I stated my ex and I are very close and he wanted me to see where he is from and life there. Despite the war the people are still like everyone else and I do not fear them. I wanted to do some traveling to Africa (even places ppl raise an eye brow to) as I am an aspiring journalist to see things outside of my "sheltered" world. I am not ashamed of flaws and I have faith in Liberia, I just want to see first hand what a toll the war and injustice has taken on the people so I can be about talk AND action. I don't want to be one of those who talk out of my arse without seeing the real deal. |
Re: This Must Never Happen In Nigeria! by EzeUche0(m): 6:31am On Nov 15, 2010 |
MzDarkSkin: Brave girl. . . Interesting enough, when I talk to my Liberian friends, most of them Americo-Liberians are kind of disgusted in how their nation has changed into. They would say when Americo-Liberians were in charge, Liberia was a better place and they blame Doe. I even know some of the grand children of William Tolbert and his clan. They are all around the DC area and I party with some of them. The closest place I ever been to that would be considered a war zone is that I spent some time in Cote D'ivoire a year after the Civil War ended in 2008. You could still see the devastation. If you never been to Africa, my advice to you would be to go to Ghana or a "safe" country before you go to that former war zone. Being in Africa is another world if you have lived a sheltered American life. I tell my cousins who were raised in the states the same thing. |
Re: This Must Never Happen In Nigeria! by Nobody: 6:47am On Nov 15, 2010 |
^^HA! Taking any sort of talk about Liberia from an Americo-Liberian is like talking to sympathizers of the Nazis during WW2! THEIR ancestors bleeped Liberia up, NOT only Doe! Doe was an arsehole yes, but the foundation of tribalism, imperialism and war began with the Americo Liberians. They used to scorn and abuse the natives who became fed up and resulted in the wars. Tolbert and his regime in my opinion should not have been executed maybe excommunicated but nonetheless their over throw was necessary! I understand what you were saying about Ghana, I definitely want to visit there! lol so I can despoil Asamoah Gyan LOL! (so sexy!) A friend of mine is from Ivory Coast and he told me I should visit there and Africa in general as it is "Just like Yard/Jamaica" - I guess so lol. But I still want to visit. What about Nigeria? What are your advice as far as "safe" places to visit there? I am serious. |
Re: This Must Never Happen In Nigeria! by EzeUche0(m): 7:05am On Nov 15, 2010 |
MzDarkSkin: Didn't under the Tolbert regime that Liberia see the most advances? Especially becoming a modernized nation. Tolbert was buddy-buddy with the U.S. during the Cold War. If you wish to travel to Nigeria, I would say travel with a Nigerian. If you like a modernized setting, then go to Lagos for fun, Abuja to see nice architecture and reach Nigerians and Calabar to relax and enjoy the beaches. If you feel adventurous, then go up North to Hausaland. The Hausa have a rich cultural history and go to their old cities. And if you want to see Igboland, then go to Enugu since that city is very safe. It can be considered the capital of Igboland. |
Re: This Must Never Happen In Nigeria! by Nobody: 7:30am On Nov 15, 2010 |
^^Yes it was a lot more modernized but the Americo elites still refused to give the natives high positioned jobs in the government or executive for that matter in fact Tolbert and others before him made trips to the caribbean in search of more "civilized negroes" to aid them and fill positions rather than give the native peoples a chance. If you were a native Liberian then, the most you could look forward to was the military after all if you were willing to sacrifice your "meaningless life" in the event of chaos then no problem right? The U.S. was "buddy-buddy" to ALL NATIONS (African and non) that they felt were at risk for being Communist/ Russian sympathizers because after all it was still a power struggle in europe (west vs east) and the last thing Western Europe wanted was to lose its grip in power to their inferior brothers. Africa after the cold war became useless which is why after that Liberia could not even get a damn loan from the U.S. lol. but during the cold war their every wish including presidential visits to Washington D.C. was granted. EzeUche0: I want to see this "Igboland" I hear about it so much on NL. I do not know much about the Hausas so that would be interesting to find out about as well. I think Africa should def. be a travel destination to all blacks who were born outside of Africa. I am excited about it. |

@video, SEEGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please God, no war o! Ehm what do you guys think about George Bush (war inventor), Tony Blair (greedy man) and Condolezza Rice coming to Nigeria for ThisDay concert one time like that. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-403969.0.html And you know IBB's man Nduka is in control of ThisDay. Also, some editors have been murdered at ThisDay. http://allafrica.com/stories/200808190789.html And the recent arms importation? I think these people have a sinister plan for Nigeria. And they have already prophesised our break-up and protrayed us as unstable. |
Re: This Must Never Happen In Nigeria! by luvinhubby(m): 5:56pm On Nov 18, 2010 |
Have you guys ever wondered - why Africa? Why's this sort of state-related conflict not rampant in the Western world, or in Asia, or in the Middle East, or in South America? Why in Africa? In these other places it's an anomaly - an exception to the general rule. In Africa it is the general rule. Why? It's because you're CURSED! Selfish wicked people - all you ever have thoughts of are your own selves, even if you have to kill others for yourself. BLOODY, CURSED, DISGUSTING MONKEYS! I like what's happening to you, and I pray it never stops until you learn to put the next human being first - that's the difference between you and everyone else. All love for you is lip talk - so keep killing yourself until you learn to love. FUCKING MONKEYS!!!!!!!! |
Re: This Must Never Happen In Nigeria! by Nobody: 12:31am On Nov 19, 2010 |
^^Um south America has been CLEANED of its native culture (those who still identify as a Native suffer isolation) and given just as many AKs as Africa and do not get me started on the hell hole of the Middle East and south east Asia. All of those regions have suffered greatly just like us, same story different people. They only differ in that they are willing to tag-team with the Europeans when it comes to blacks. Arabs sell ammo to blacks, Asians rob blacks of their timber (particularly the Malaysians) and latin Americans not only try to hide their African roots but anything associated with blackness is looked down upon. Black people are the group OTHER ppl of color look to, to make themselves feel "not so bad". It's "we may suffer racism and hardship but HEY at least not like those Africans!". This is because blacks not only go through the drama and injustice but we are more willing than any race to harm ourselves to get a GLIMPSE of the "good life" as we cannot live it without problems but we still are willing to betray, rob and kill one another to live that lifestyle while being paranoid. When we show strength we inspire but when we act like fools people draw away, my hero Che Guevara a Latin American revolutionist who regarded Africans as his "brothers" was heartbroken when he witnessed the black on black atrocities in Central African Republic and Congo, they shamed him and his "cause" for ending imperialism on both sides of the Atlantic. We blacks, Africans in particular, need to get our poo together. excerpt from Wikipedia "Che Guevara": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Che_Guevara Guevara left the Congo with the Cuban survivors (Six members of his 12-man column had died). At one point Guevara considered sending the wounded back to Cuba, and fighting in Congo alone until his death, as a revolutionary example; after being urged by his comrades and pressed by two emissaries sent by Castro, at the last moment he reluctantly agreed to leave Africa. In speaking about the Congo, Guevara concluded that he left rather than fight to the death because: "The human element failed. There is no will to fight, the leaders are corrupt; in a word, there was nothing to do."[163] A few weeks later, when writing the preface to the diary he kept during the Congo venture, he began: "This is the history of a failure." Sad. Very sad. So many Afro. Cubans died trying to help him aid in liberating the land of the fore-fathers only to see how effed up the people are. It is very disheartening as a person of African descent to preach how proud we are to be black and celebrate the lives of our ancestors when, we cannot defend it when some white person says "if Africa is so great why (insert issue)?" It's really sad. |
