DISCLAIMER: NAKOSS URGES THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO DISREGARD THE FLAGRANT REPORT WITH THE TITLE, "KOGI STUDENTS' ENDLESS WAIT FOR BURSARY"

Following the publication of an article entitled "Kogi students' endless wait for bursary" by a certain Arogbonlo Isreal on the The Nation's Campus Life and Kogireports.com dated 30th October, 2019, who falsely led the public to actually believe he had the NAKOSS body under his wing and was working for them, the NAKOSS body hereby uses this press release disassociates itself from the claims contained in the aforementioned report.

Not only did the writer made concocted lies about the NAKOSS body engaging in a mass protest, but he equally gave off a misconception concerning the NAKOSS President's press conference held on 21st October, 2019 of which the Reporter wasn't present.

During the Press conference which had in attendance Jounalists from News Agency of Nigeria, The Graphics, Campus Connect as well as chapter presidents of the union, The National President, Comrade Moses Omeiza Audu made an appeal to the government of Kogi state with retrospect to the sudents' bursary that was yet to be paid, as that would facilitate the influx of students to the polling units come election day slated November 16th, 2019. It would give them hope considering how the bursary system has been riddled with irregularities and mishaps.

Also, it would show the government was not inept and were on a student-first basis, seeing as they had agreed to accrue the student monies. These were what the President had said at the press conference.

However, Mr Isreal Arongbonlo, in the flagrant report made false presumptions about the press statement and decide to infer the wrong meaning from it, by stating that the President was aggrieved and had given the Kogi State government a 16- day ultimatum, lest there would be a mass protest.

Plus, he putatively misled the public to believe that the NAKOSS body would engage in a protest.

It is in this regard that the NAKOSS body state clearly that they do not have any affiliation with Mr Isreal Arongbonlo both at the National and at local chapter levels.

The mass protest would only be a breeding ground for hoodlums of all sorts, plus it is injurious to the citizenry and also what the Association stands for. With that knowledge, the mass protest which Mr Isreal adjudged that NAKOSS would sponsor is totally unfounded and untrue and that the public should disregard the news.

NAKOSS would never engage in violent activities to gain audience with the government, as the Association has always lived by the peace mantra.
