FORMER Oyo State Governor, Rasheed Ladoja, has said no property of his was among those allegedly seized by the managers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

In a statement by his media aide, Mr Lanre Latinwo the former governor said the case on the property is in court and that the EFCC should not be "the accuser, the prosecutor and judge".

The statement reads: "We wish to make it known to the public that no property of Sen. Ladoja has been seized by the anti-graft body till date. Also, no single naira has been returned by the former Governor of Oyo State. The Ladoja 2011 group challenges anybody to publish documents of property or money seized from Sen. Ladoja.

"Even, the case is in court; hence, it is supposed to be a case in the hands of the judiciary. The EFCC is not expected to be the accuser, prosecutor and judge. It is proper to allow the judiciary to do their job and stop using the pages of newspapers to malign the name of Sen. Ladoja who even swore that he did not add a block to the buildings he had before becoming the governor of Oyo State in 2003.

"On ‘Akala’s many battles’, we wish to draw your attention to the many self-inflicted problems Otunba Alao-Akala has initiated. The Alaafin of Oyo’s story on alleged attempt on his life by the governor. The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) crisis in Oyo State was also a creation of Otunba Akala.

"It is a known fact that the government of Otunba Akala has been peddling lies upon lies. He has been using propaganda to deceive his supporters. The issue of the People Democratic Party state executive which is non-existent but to him is in existence has come to the fore with INEC’s declaration that there is no Party executive in Oyo State."
