There is yet another fire outbreak in the mainland axis of Lagos. jebba okobaba street precisely. The cause of the fire is unknown.

At least five buildings and scores of shanties were razed on Friday at Jebba, by Okobaba Street , Ebute Metta , Lagos Mainland .

The fire started in one building but spread to other buildings and shanties in the area , even as attempts were made by firefighters to douse the fire .

When the fire started , residents of the area trooped out in their hundreds to put the fire out .

However, as of 2 .10 p . m ., efforts to douse the fire had yielded no results.

Meanwhile, residents of the area have started evacuating their properties.


As of 2.15 p .m . our reporter observed that the crowd at the scene of the burning building had increased .
