This Scam uses a technology called RFID short for Radio Frequency Identification.

Please note that the chip in your ATM can transmit radio signal. They use a device that can intercept those signals to steal your ATM card information.

All they have to do is to stay close the victim about 5inches away and the victim's card information will be copied into their device. These scammers are usually located in shopping malls, markets and banks. Please be careful how carry your ATM cards around.

However there are some wallets that has RFID blocking features which can also help.

If the stuff is already here i don't think the protective wallet can do much as the device will only read your ATM card while it's being used and not when in your pocket or wallet, except the protective wallet will go with the card into the ATM or POS.

The manner and speed at which crime generate and come to this country is so alarming. Every day i wake up i hear of new crime. May we have the mind to overcome and say no to crime. Amen.
