Yes, it is no longer news that an Appeal Court has ruled that a fresh election should be conducted in one of the 9 LGAs that make up the Senatorial Zone where Sen Akpabio of APC and Sen Chris Ekpenyong of PDP slugged it out in the last Senatorial election.
Succinctly, let's assume Akpabio is 100 percent sure of winning the rescheduled election, will he resign as a Minister of Niger Delta to go to the Senate. I have seen Senators resigning from their seat to take up a Ministerial appointment, not to talk of a lucrative ministry like that of Niger Delta. So, even after being appointed as a senior Minister, Akpabio still went to Appeal Court to challenge the decision of the election tribunal. Does it mean a Senator is better or more lucrative than a Minister , since we are all aware that what politicians want are power and money?

Ministerial position is an appointment and the president can shuffle his cabinet and throw out anybody. Senate na to chop till 4years elapses.

Udom won't allow him unless baba will promise to retain him after the election in case he lost

A year minister in the ministry he's heading if he want to fraud is better than 4years senator



Senator with no portfolio or post is useless than a local govt chairman. I'll rather collect local govt chairman position than go for ordinary senate member
