Why Would You Vote For Gej? by Muza(m): 1:54am On Nov 17, 2010
Sincerely speaking GEJ has every right to seek for our votes, there is nothing stopping him anywhere wheather in the Nigerian constitution or the PDP constitution(if u take a very close look at their constitution u'll understand what i mean) from contesting the 2011 election. But the question is,is he our best choice, will he be able to deliver,is he the person we need at this crucial period when other nations that were ones our mates have now gone far far ahead of us,not to even talk of the developed nations.
Will he conduct a free and fair election, will he provide us with a fairly constant power supply, will provide us with good roads, will provide health care so that citizens of other countries will come here for treatment and checkup, will he fight corruption without fear or favour, will he uphold the RULE OF LAW. . .and many more.
OR will he just waste this chance that he has to fix all these, will he drown us in more debt than we had ever imagined, will he institutionalize corruption and run a kleptocracy, will he whip ethnic and regional sentiment to divide us,will he condone and support illegalities like the one in OGUN state, will he endores and even reward election riggers . . .and many more

I've observed that some people have blind support for GEJ and will never see anything wrong in what ever he does. I assume those people have not thought about some things or they have been hypnotized with money and hav sold their consience.
I would please want those people to please take some time and ask them selves this questions above and make a choice, but however, the choice you make is not for you alone, its also for your children and their children yet unborn.
Let your support for GEJ not be because your want to join the fray to feel among or to prevent backlash from some members of the forum,or just because GEJ is from you state or hometown.
Do not be afraid to stand up and defend wat u support and believe in as long as its right and its for the common good of the Nigerian nation.

Thankyou and Godbless

PDP represents failure.

the right to vote and be voted for is an inalienable right of every man. . .
Why would I vote for GEJ? because in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king. The other aspirants; Buhari, IBB, Saraki and others are a fat no no!

I really like GEJ personally. I hate the PDP, but like the man. It is a very weird feeling. . .

@Muza kwana biu! cheesy you still dey so??

@topic,
I personally don't have anything against GEJ; it's the party that he represents, the PDP, that I detest with a passion. I can never, never, EVER vote for any candidate on the PDP platform, regardless of where that candidate is from.

I have been meaning to put up this same question, you beat me to it. Anyway to the question in hand. There are several reasons why I wont vote for GEJ and I am quite happy to list them

1: GEJ belongs to the Party which is single handedly responsible for the terrible governement we have today
2: GEJ has shown very little understanding on how to manage the countries finances properly
3: GEJ has shown that he is selfishly desperate that he would go against the people sensitivity to archieve his selfish aim(Uduaghan issue)
4: GEJ lacks the vision to move Nigeria where we should be headed
5: GEJ lacks the power and foresight to deal with serious issues decisively and in a manner become of a potential president with a clear vision
6: GEJ lacks the desire and will to tackle corruption head on
7: GEJ lacks the necessary address book to pull those that can make the changes we need

Besides all this, there is nothing exceptional about him. Nigerians must not sell themsleves short by no taking a proper look at other candidates from other parties. It is not written that the next president must come from PDP. Infact change is good, and we as a people will do ourselves justice by seeking that change

@monkeyleg You have said it all.
All of a sudden people started shouting Jona, Jona, after the demise of his boss. He never had the intention of becoming a president mediocres in PDP know he is weak and they know looting spree will continue as long as he is there.
He has no vision for this nation, the time is not young anymore for us to notice this. What has he done since he became president, I was just laughing when he was declaring for 2011 and stated that he introduced direct flight from 9ja to USA as part of his achievements, How does that shit affect common man, or reduce the numbers of fustrated unemployed graduates.
How many people have passports. What proportion of population will that benefit?

For any serious minded and progressive minded Nigerian PDP is a no no.

PDP is a party of pain for Nigerians, anything is better than PDP, any bank manager is better than Jonathan.

All i care for now is freshner which he represent, as vp we saw their right step to the right direction with late adua, the rest pdp contenstants have failed this nation oneway or the other in the past and truely have nothing to offer now other than to finish the pieces of what they left behind when they are thier.
Re: Why Would You Vote For Gej? by ugoani(m): 9:36am On Nov 18, 2010
Well one cannot say for sure the ability of gej for now, but only if the other partys can wake-up to the task and present a quality candidate that is decent enough to earn our votes, but for now i dont think there is any.
Re: Why Would You Vote For Gej? by 1025: 11:29am On Nov 18, 2010
in the first place, jonathan is not ready to be a president.
secondly, he has the worst criminals on this country as his friends and political associates.
thirdly, obasanjo among everyother nigerians has no right to present, select or impose candidates on us
fourthly, jonathan is coming from a party that has been in charge since 1999 till date with nothing tangible to show for it.
in other countries of this world, power changes hands between parties to ensure progress and developments so pdp shld give way for other parties to try.
even as a man from the eastern part, jonathan is not the candidate we want and obasanjo has no business telling us who our representatives will be.

No.
Any friend of OBJ is not friend of mine.
Except IBB of course.
The man Nigeria needs.
Any Notherner would do.
Dig up any Yaradua again, and I will be happy.
Re: Why Would You Vote For Gej? by monkeyleg: 4:37pm On Nov 18, 2010
@Ugoani,

Have you looked properly at the other candidate from other parties? If you have, how have you come to the assessment that they are no better than GEJ?

Listen, we must wake up from this long political slumber we have been in for years, and really excersize our political right. Look at all the candidates properly, and if you dont understand what they represent, please ask. You owe it to yourself to choose the best, and the one who is likely to look after your needs. Choose wisely, if not you find yourself complaining for another 4yrs

As for me, The Ribadu's, Pat Utomi's represent wonderful opportunity
