House Of Reps Want Restriction Of Petrol To Towns Close To Borders Removed by Olusharp(m): 3:33pm On Nov 12, 2019
The House of Representatives during the plenary on Tuesday pushed for a motion seeking to stop the operations of the Nigerian Custom restricting the supply of Petroleum Products to towns within 20 kilometres of the Nigerian Border.

The motion which was moved by Rep Sada Soli and seconded by Rep Bello Kaoje explained that the people living close to borders are feeling the brunt of the border closure and to now deny them petroleum products without due consultation and enlightenment is most insensitive to the plight of these Nigerians. The motion was voted on and adopted.

This government and its appointees are not prepared to work, always using a sledgehammer to kill an ant! They punish the citizens for their inability to deliver efficiently on their mandate.

Is it the fault of citizens in border communities that the Customs service refuses to secure the borders and eschew corruption? How about permanently closing up those hundreds of illegal routes that crisscross the North?
