Why Are Only Celebrities Picked As Brand Ambassadors? by 9jageek: 11:39am On Nov 13, 2019 |
Newly crowned BBNaija winner Mercy and her ex-housemate and "rival" Tacha have now hit celebrity status since the competition ended. Now they get paid to PARTY and get brands to sponsor their expensive lifestyles This makes me wonder if one can become a brand ambassador without actually becoming a celebrity first like proposed in the 7th Picture Ambassador Programme https://7thpicture.com/ambassador The program wants to identify your talent first and your ability to create a following, and then will push you to celebrity status while promoting international brands.

Omo, Brand + Celebrity = Money and Promotion. Most brands are not exactly concerned about using non-celebrities as ambassadors. amean, who non-celebrity epp... lol... the non-celebrity needs the epp of the brand to gain momentum in their career, but the brand needs more promotion, sales, blah blah... hence they take advantage and ride on the shoulders of ready made celebrities to make their desired statement in the star arena. In some other sense,, the brand, which is probably perceived to be known and recognized can use their recognition to make a non-celebrity a celebrity and in turn soak in the results that ensue from making a no-ceb. a ceb. But most brands now are not up for that kind of stuff. The glitz world mostly dictates what brands do, they just follow the trend and leverage on available opportunities. For example, Innoson Vehicles and Mercy... BBN produced Mercy and Innoson took advantage of the provision... Gbam! |

AdeniyiJoshua: But it would be much cheaper for them if they can identify someone talented and on the road to stardom. It will be like investing in a stock at early stage. I think that is what the 7thPicture guys are trying to do. |
