On Sunday, heavy rainstorms in the UAE resulted in the flooding of several shops inside the country's largest shopping center aka the famous Dubai Mall.

Despite the incident, which also affected the center's huge parking area, stores remained open, according to Gulf News.

While many tried to quickly escape the site, others rushed to capture the happenings on video and later uploaded their clips online. Minutes later, footage of water running into shops as retail workers scoured to protect window displays took the UAE's internet by storm.

Flooding is a natural disaster and it's beyond human control. The question is- what happens after then? Flood will recede due to quality drainage systems in civilised countries while it will still remain in Nigeria because of poor drainage system. Power facilities that may have been damaged will be quickly restored in civilised countries while Nigerians will continue to be in darkness and govt will keep promising without doing anything. Citizens in civilised countries won't insult their govts in civilised countries because they know their govts have done their best unlike the Nigerian counterpart.
