Governor Akeredolu Praises Ijare Peoples Steadfastness As Community Appreciate Governor's Contribution To Their Town.

The Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has described the indigenes of Ijare in Ifedore Local Government Area of the state as reliable people.

The Governor expressed his view in a nessage to this years Ijare Day Celebrations held at Anglican Grammar School, Ijare.

Arakunrin Akeredolu, who was represented by Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Saka Yusuf Ogunleye , said:

"I hold Ijare in council and the indigenes in high esteem. The role you played in the last elections by voting massively for our party shows you are reliable people who appreciate what we are doing in our state.

We owe every part of the state progress and we shall not leave any stone unturned in our quest to develop it. I can promise you that we are continuing with our infrastructure transformation and Ijare will not be left out"

The people expressed their gratitude to the Governor for being pillar of support to the town.

The National President of Ijare Egbe Omo Elewe Obi, Akin Oluwole, who spoke on behalf of the community, expressed the community's appreciation to the Governor.

Mr Oluwole, who described Arakunrin Akeredolu as a lover of the town, enumerated the various areas where Governor Akeredolu had intervened in the town.

“Do note, our dear Arakunrin and friends of Ijare, that we shall not take your identification with us for granted.

“We acknowledge the recent elevation of our daughter Justice Eunice Alade to the position of the President of Ondo state Customary Court of Appeal.

“The recognition and approval of Bethel College of Education as an extension of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, by our dear Arakunrin is a catalyst for educational and economic development, for which we are sincerely grateful.

It is also worthy of note the promptness and very technically skillful manner the Governor handled the humanitarian crisis that would have been precipitated by the cows killed by thunder at Oke Owa.

As a community, we appreciated the manner in which the government dispatched health workers to fumigate the dead cows to prevent epidemic in the community."

The Commissioner had earlier attended Itaogbolu Day celebrations in Akure North local government Area along with other politcal office holders of the Local Government Area.

At the event, a chieftaincy title was conferred on the Ekiti State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr Muyiwa Olumilua by the Kabiyesi of Itaogbolu Oba Idowu Faborode before proceeding to Ijare. The Hon Commissioner was accompanied by some supervisory councillors from Akure North and the Local Government women leaders in Akure North and South, Alhaja Serifat Adepoju and Mrs Abigael oginin respectively.
