Dear Anambra State, Your recent notoriety is shameful. I think it is because you have a very large market place and people can very easily slip in and leave with or without very young children. I think you should review the cultural practice and the judiciary. In the South West especially, children born out-of-wedlock are (more often than not) accepted by the boy's family. In the South East, pressure is on the girl to pretend and live in denial. Her bride price is "gone" and "family pride" now replaced with "shame". The beckoning solution is what is termed 'baby factory'. The Judiciary should brace to fight this menace in every form. You have both brains and hands, people to do this. Good luck! |
