The Super Eagles Squad of 1994 remains the best team Naija (appologies to Aunty Dora) has ever had. Finidi appointed as scout for Real Betis, Siasia new Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi International coach etc

I am extremely happy for Michael.I wish that he makes it as a senior coach someday.Anyway I'm not wishing that his success will grant Chelsea the premier league title cos the blood of United runs in my veins.I wish him success in the champions league only if they never meets united along the way.Up Michael! Up the red devils!

This is why I love being a devoted Blue (failure and success included) They give opportunites, Mikel is a very good example.

It's mixed fortunes for Nigeria. Good news(Emenalo) and bad news(Amodu) in one day.

I thought it was a joke initially when I heard it on radio but after looking at my calendar and realizing it is not April Fool's day
I began to believe it. This is good. How come NFF did not know we have such a talent?

Arsenal and Chelsea are two opposing ends, there is no comparison. Arsene Wenger runs a racist regime, for so many years he as being getting African/black players on the cheap, without ever employing one single black coaching staff. All members of Arsenal coaching staff are white. Chelsea also bring in alot of black/African players, but unlike Arsenal, they pay alot for them and pay them very high wages. They also have a black assistant coach who happens to be African, something Arsene Wenger as not being able to do in almost 20yrs of exploiting black players. Not even one token black coach.

Chelsea is the future. Arsenal is the past, just like the colonisation of Africa.

ok

lets jettison football affiliations for a moment,

chelsea, IMHO is really helping afrikaan football at the highest level of the game,

and with this elevation of mikel to a senior coaching position, he would learn from one of the best at the highest level,

how many local afrikan coaches can boast of such opportunities

Great news.
The 94 class remains our best products to date. Keshi, Siasia, Amokachi, Finidi, Amuneke, and now Emenalo, all doing well in the coaching profession

You can SAY that AGAIN

Who Is Michael Emenalo?

Michael Emenalo has been named as Ray Wilkins replacement as assistant coach, but who is he?

- He was born in Nigeria in 1965.
- He has a degree in international relations with political sciences from Boston University, where he spent three years playing football.
- Played as a defender for several clubs including Notts County, Maccabi Tel Aviv and San Jose Clash.
- He played the final 15 minutes for Notts County in their Anglo-Italian Cup success over Ascoli in 1995.
- Won 14 International caps for his country including two games at the 1994 World Cup.
- When at Spanish 2nd Division side Llieda, he played under Juande Ramos, who had stints at Sevilla and Spurs.
- After retiring from playing he spent time coaching in the USA.
- Avram Grant brought him to the club in 2007 as chief scout after he spent 2 years playing for our former manager in their Maccabi Tel Aviv days.
- He has worked closely with Carlo Ancelotti over the past 18 months with the club claiming his promotion is a “recognition of his efforts to date”.
- He will continue to oversee the first team scouting operation as he makes the transition to coaching, splitting the initial period between assisting Ancelotti and updating his coaching qualifications.

Up Gunners!be intimate with Chelsea
I am a real madrid fan and I dislike barcelona 'AS A FOOTBALL CLUB'. if tomorrow a Nigerian is given a role(coaching, back room or playing) there, I would always want for him success because, ''that single individual'' represents alot about us. You cant say Amos Adamu's problem presently concerns him alone. They will always mention that he is a Nigerian. And right now any mention of Emenalo would be linked to his being a Nigerian too. And his success there would directly/indirectly rob off on us.
note chelsea's success was not as a result of arsenal's failure.they both compete for four trophies every season.and Last time I checked chelsea has not been the only club winning. Chelsea, man u, liverpool, even portsmouth have been champions.
Its so sad that you love Arsenal so much that you would not mind it Chelsea or any other EPL team fails even if your sibling works for them.
na wa for u sha.fanatism at its peak.

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed he had no input in Michael Emenalo's promotion to assistant first-team coach, and he does not want the Nigerian to actually work with the team.

Revealing some of the tensions at the club in the wake of Ray Wilkins' shock departure last week, Ancelotti made clear that both decisions were made over his head, leaving him uneasy.

"I am not here to explain how I feel at the moment, because it is not the right moment,'' he said in the Daily Telegraph. "I'm professional, I will continue to work. I want to stay focused on my team. The club made this decision (to promote Emenalo) after the decision on Ray. But nothing has changed, for me. Emenalo has been working with me before.

"He started when I came here last year. He was the opposition scout and was supporting me. He's not been involved in the training, and won't be, because (first-team coach) Paul Clement has been and will remain doing that. But nothing changes. It was not my decision, but he is working with me for a year and a half anyway.''

In announcing Emenalo's promotion, a Chelsea statement had said Emenalo "will continue to oversee the first team scouting operation as he makes the transition to coaching'' as he needed to gain additional qualifications. But Ancelotti's comments suggest he does not want any such transition to take place.

When pressed on the matter, Ancelotti reiterated: "He won't be involved in the training sessions.''

However, Emenalo will sit on the bench for matches, starting on Saturday at Birmingham City.

It is good for Nigeria but like my fellow chelsea fan said the other time, it is bad for Chelsea. Ancelotti wants to banish the memory of Mourinho. He should have waited till the end of the season at least. At this stage, experience is very important. Nobody should believe for a moment that Ancelotti did not have a say in the matter, unless he is not in charge of the team.
