Hello everyone,let me start by giving a little background information.I bought the car(naija-used) abt 5months ago with 38k(km) mileage.It was really sound and has been working really well.Lately though the automatic transmission has been malfunctioning and the check-engine light is on.The auto tranny has an unusually long time lag of abt 2secs between changes thereby causing the car to rev within that period before shifting to the next gear.It is terribly frustrating to drive.I had it serviced but the problem persisted and my mechanic adviced me to change the entire auto tranny.Is there anything i can do to repair it?
As for the check engine light,i had it scanned and the result was the "P2413-exhaust gas --- system performance"(*--- means i cant read what exactly the scanning guy wrote*).What does this mean and what can i do about it.
Also,if anyone knows a top-knotch and very reliable honda mechanic in lagos,please fell free to recommend him/her.Thanks everyone.

Flush ur transmission fluid and and replace with one branded for the accord, unfortunately i can't recollect the name, i know sienna had some for sale a few months back. I'll try to find the thread and post it to you.
Had a similar problem with my Volvo S80, it's working fine now.
(Won't be suprised if the fluid level is low already-give it a check)

Thanks kamikazee.I alredi had it serviced.the fluid was drained n replaced with conoil auto tranny fluid but the problem is still there.any other suggestions.

Talk to Mr Shola on 08056323087, he should be able to help. He is a honda expect, worked for honda before.

you can try this transmission ATF oil for honda(dextron II by texaco). better still call these guy his an expert, tell him richard gave you his number. his name is okey(08033102041). good luck mate.

@blackoracle, I considered it but the cost is prohibitive.all their services are offered at a premium.unfortunately,I happen not 2 be a nigerian senator or the son of 1.lol.tnx anyways.
