Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the Queen’s College, Lagos have said that they would investigate the recent spat between a security guard and mother of a student who was sent home for wearing artificial eyelashes and painting her nails.

The woman appeared in a viral video on Tuesday engaging the school’s security guard in a fight for sending her daughter home.

PTA chairman, Abass Ahmed, told newsmen that the association condemns the parent’s conducts.

Mr Ahmed added that the school has rules and regulations guiding pupils and that the PTA would probe the incident to avoid recurrence.

“As a parent, and looking at the picture of the lady, I am ashamed as a parent that a mother could actually leave the house and bring her daughter in that state to drop her off for check-in, knowing full well that the school will not condone such,” he said.

The PTA chairman added that the association would recommend a training programme where officers will be taught how to relate with the public.
