Rochas Okorocha, Imo State former governor, now senator representing Imo West has decried the high rate of illiteracy in the Northern part of Nigeria. Okorocha, who spoke on the floor of the senate yesterday said the country should start doing a lot in the educational sector especially in the North. According to him, if nothing is being done, very soon Nigeria may start having lawmakers from the North who cannot address the senate chamber in English.
