Our educated literate, read the link below.

https://www.nairaland.com/5565036/ippis-why-cbn-nnpc-not#84637044

the reason is lame. Buhari directive affects all mda including Cbn and likes. some people in government are trying to be clever by half. if corruption in Cbn, firs, nnpc etc are uncovered, you will be amazed.

There are also laws establishing universities including university autonomy act. All staff of nnpc , cbn, firs are also civil servants. Buhari directive affects all mda including revenue generating parastatats. ASUU has good points.
The difference is revenue generating agencies and core aim of making profit.

FIRS, NNPC, CBN are revenue generating agencies and we're established for the purpose of making profit. Hence, they are mandated to remmit profit.

Public Universities (ASUU), Army, Navy, Police, Hospitals, etc are public services institutions/agencies established with the sole aim of providing public services. They are expected NOT to make PROFIT, hence they do remit to the government.

my friend, buhari directive includes all mdas, no exception. corruption in those revenue generating agencies can cause tsunami if it is exposed.

Funny
Did you just think that one up NOW to win an argument or is that in any legislation
Is that in the regulation establishing the I-PISS system??

Funny the specious logic people will come up with just to win an argument

Profit making indeed!!

That may be a useful argument but it is not in any law or gazette just YOUR OWN Nairaland logic

Any ASUU member who feels aggrieved can take the FG to court or resign.

The greedy guys won't do that because once out of the system, they can't illegally collect multiple salaries or sleep with female students any longer.

ASUU should comply, go to Court or shut da feck up.

While the FG and ASUU are sorting things out, let the AGF start enrolling staff of CBN, NNPC, FIRS etc. Or maybe it is never in the plan of the government to enroll staff of those 'revenue generating' agencies where the children of the high and mighty get paid humongous salaries. You hardly can find those children lecturing in our universities where high mental capabilities are required but in juicy places reserved for the children of treasury looters.

...and your reasons stated above are sufficient enough to run the universities as ministries departments and agencies of government? Have you given critical consideration to the peculiarities of the university system which allows for the arguments put forward by ASUU including the fate of visiting professors, external examiners, international collaboration in academics and research etc? If only you all realize how much shutting those doors will affect the standards and quality of academics as well as international reputation and recognition, you won't in any way support FG, profit/revenue generation or no profit!

You can't have your cake and eat it!
If you all want ASUU to generate profit and be exempted from IPPIS, it's easy! ASUU will simply go ahead, increase tution and make tution commensurate with international tuition, get their members to earn as much as their counterparts abroad, and let's see who'll cry at the end of the day.

What's all dis??
ASUU today ASUU tomorrow..
Is it difficult to settle with ur employer, if u knw u have nothing hidden...??
Why all dis stubbornness?? Insincerity everywhere...

Anyways; I hope dis will be investigated...

"...Omole stated that it is unfortunate that the likes of Ahmed Idris whose office have continued to extort public University Bursars via unlawful kickbacks is the one claiming he wants to use IPPIS to ensure transparency and accountability"

Because when an intellectual speaks, they usually have the facts..

I think Mr. Ahmed Idris, AGF, should step aside and be investigated because his office has been rubbishes by this statement above.

Thank u
