The National Assembly on Thursday transmitted the 2020 Appropriation Bill to President Muhammadu Buhari for assent, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives), Umar el-Yakub disclosed. El-Yakub confirmed this to Punch Newspaper, noting that the President will carefully cross-check it before the Bill is signed. “And I am sure you know that the President will take his time to look at it all through before assent,” he said. The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, Senator Barau Jibrin had earlier this week, hinted that the National Assembly was ready to transmit the Bill to Buhari, adding that it can be signed any time this week.
