Zombies or Why your brain is more important than money I expect accusations of IPOB to be flying soon after this message gets to the targeted audience but the truth shall set me free. What is a Zombie? It is a creature developed by western media and depicted in the same vein as vampire undead. There have been various iterations of these "things", each with their unique adaptations. From those that eat brains to those that can't tolerate the sun and even some that have more in common with Bats. A recurring theme though is that Zombies are stupid. They are always portrayed as a pitiable existence with brains too rotten to even walk without tripping and an inability to recognize what is right in front of them. Why the long epistle? I aim to drive into the common mind what the term ZOmbie refers to. The inability of most Buhari supporters to realize what a disaster their principal has been indicated their intelligence level. I was one of those who helped put Buhari into power in 2015 and it hurts my sensibilities to realize how easily we were all deceived. The country gets more corrupt every day yet for the Buhari regime there is always an excuse. The economy worsens every week yet Buhari seems to only care for tyrannical and draconic policies. The security situation seems to be moving into an abyss and our security outfits now move with more impunity than ever, yet Buhari is blameless. To call this country leaderless is not too great a generalization. Buhari's regime claims to be aiming at implementing a cashless policy, yet they introduced a #50 duty to POS transactions of above #1000. They claim to want investments, yet they introduce an abomination of both monetary and fiscal policies that shouldn't exist. I distinctly remember your principal being confronted with evidence of Ganduje's crimes and claiming not to know the type of technology used. I remember him embarrassing the country at the UN general assembly by talking about climate change when the question was about youths. I remember all the promises he made before he was elected and how he broke every single one of them. I remember Buhari populating his cabinet with Northerners against every convention and constitution. To the Zombies, I say this. How long will you continue to hide your head in the sand? How long will it take till you replace that rotten brain with a new model? The Yoruba will say "Ẹni a wifun, Ọba jẹ o gbọ, Ẹni a sọrofun Ọba jẹ o gba, Ẹrù Ọba ni mo bà, Ọba tó."
