Pushing aside the fact that Naira Marley has stepped on quite a lot of toes since breaking into the Nigerian music scene with his kind of songs and the vulgarity of his lyrics, certain people in the corners of power have taken it upon themselves to tarnish the image of the rapper no matter the cost.

As far as 2019 is concerned, news about Naira Marley on the internet over an alleged internet fraud has far more been consistent than the way Nigerians sing the praises of Jollof rice on social media. Although he was arrested alongside with a couple of accomplices, notably Zlatan, but has been made to carry the cross of others which clearly visualizes the powers at the top, as most people would say ‘the ogas at the top’.

However, the most appalling news yet so far about the street hop sensation made the rounds yesterday across social media with indications that Nairamarley could have been allegedly connected with a car theft.

Rather distasteful to the ears and eyes, it is obvious that the intent of the allegation is aimed at tarnishing the image of the musician.
